Excerpts from the forensic report:

This left parietal is from a young, adult-sized person, likely in their teens or twenties. The size of the left parietal suggests that these remains are probably, but not certainly, female. Ancestry is indeterminate. There is no undoubted evidence of perimortem trauma. The lack of global erosion of the cortical surface suggests that death occurred roughly within the last year.

The State Police Crime Lab says they will be unable to do nuclear DNA testing successfully on flat bone, especially due to its exposure and postmortem interval.
