And the mother of the first baby that the 10 year old drugged and almost killed was there too! I wonder if she knew Brooklynn was alone in the room with the little girl who almost killed her baby?

ETA: I see she was in the basement when the 10 year old came down and then left with Brooklyn. WTH?

I just read this thread. Such a senseless horrible tragedy! The mom of this girl should be charged also for allowing her daughter to be alone with this baby since the girl had already given ADHD meds to another baby. So so sad!

Prosecutors and the Fairfield girl's attorney said last week that they'd agreed on a deal to drop the felony manslaughter charge in favor of misdemeanors

This is a horrible case. I don't know what to think. That baby was abused. Seems a bit more than manslaughter. But then the kid is 10 and disturbed.

yes, horrible case. No clue what justice looks like in regard to the 10 year old but seems there was no justice in regard to the adults whose IMO negligence helped allow this to happen

Wow... It's not easy to get attachment disorder, what was done to her when she was little? I have worked with children that young (a few, not many) who have similar diagnosis and my thoughts about this envision a little girl who enjoyed what she did. It is totally my opinion and a guess, but I would be willing to bet that she is a young sociopath, lacking emotional connections to others, who did this for pleasure and curiosity. I hope her status as the youngest in so many years gets her special attention from mental health specialists in the field, cause I think she is very dangerous.
As far as babysitting at ten, I did and was very good at it. SOME kids that age can... I think the neglect is not in the age but rather the mental disorders of that child. Especially since she harmed another baby before! I just hope the baby's suffering was very short. And the ten year olds mothers suffering is very long.
