Police investigating Greenbush man's 'suspicious' disappearance

Police have converged on a property in Greenbush this week in hopes of locating a missing man.

Guy Carmel, 66, was last contacted in March of 2017, according to information provided by police. Investigators on Thursday were on the scene at 75 Towers Road in Greenbush, where Carmel lived.

Police say they anticipate being at the property at least overnight and possibly through the day tomorrow.

Police bring heavy equipment to missing Greenbush man's home

Police have been back at a property in Greenbush Friday looking for signs of a missing man.

66-year-old Guy Carmel hasn't been seen since last year.

At his home on Towers road, a dump truck with a flatbed was brought in today as well as some other heavy equipment.

Carmel and his wife were living here and she was last seen around a few months ago.

Carmel was the owner of Old Fox Fuels...He was reported missing last September, but police say his last known contact with anyone was six months earlier.

Authorities are not releasing any new information at this time other than to say they are done searching Carmel's property.

Carmel was living in Greenbush, ME when he was last seen in March, 2017. He was first reported missing to LE in September, 2017. Carmel allegedly went to Florida to make money to fix up his boat and no contact has been made with anyone. His disappearance is considered suspicious by the Maine State Police.

Guy Carmel was last seen in March of 2017 at his property in Greenbush, Maine but wasn't officially reported missing until September 25, 2017. This is a small town but it seems like no one is talking about this and there isn't much information.

During police press releases, news reporters were attempting to ask about his wife and police were being tight lipped about offering any info about her. They would only state that yes he is married but would not comment further on any contact police have had with the spouse. They did say they are looking at his disappearance as suspicious.

Details of Disappearance​

Carmel was last seen in Greenbush, Maine on March 10, 2017. He lived on Towers Road and owned a business, Old Fox Fuels. He supposedly went to Florida to make some money so he could fix up his boat. He has never been heard from again.
