Maine State Police are asking for the public's help in locating a Blue Hill woman who was last since July 23. 37-year-old Jessica Grindle was reported missing by a friend on Wednesday. Grindle is 5'3" tall, weighs 150 pounds and has blue eyes and brown hair.

Anyone who has seen her in the past month is asked to call State Police in Bangor at 207-973-3700.

I feel bad for Jessica- it seems like no one in her family even bothered to care that she was missing. Thank goodness her friend cares enough about her to not only report her missing, but she made a second trip to the police department a couple of weeks later to try and get the ball rolling and to have them search for her. Sounds like she has a medical issue that needs medication, but she didn't have any money to purchase it.

Police in Maine say human remains were found by a deer hunter in the woods of Blue Hill near an area where a woman went missing months ago.

Police say the remains have been transported to the medical examiner’s office in Augusta for identification. They’ve been searching for 37-year-old Jessica Grindle of Blue Hill since August, when she was reported missing.

If this is really Jessica I feel terribly sorry for her and her best friend. I wish I had a friend like this who cared deeply enough to be a nuisance to LE if I vanished. Kudos to her!
