I'm really surprised and disappointed that there have been no reported sightings since July 2. I'm guessing that they're holed up in a friend's cabin or something but they must need fresh food.

Either that or she's being "maneuvered" against her will. Or worse.
I hope to god not.

Not just food but diapers & wipes. (If she’s using cloth, I’m sure we would have heard about how much of her supply is missing). Those are minimums - I’m sure she’ll eventually need diaper cream, kid Tylenol, and a new sippy cup/toy/outfit. There’s a reason why diaper bags are enormous.

Just heard about this today. It's a weird one. If she's got a fiance, as the MSM has reported, why would she willingly go on an unplanned, unannounced, unknown to him (the fiance) "camping" trip with her ex? That seems completely out there to me.

Whatever is going on, I really hope that her and that little one especially, are safe.

It's been nearly two weeks.

I do not believe she is camping with an on-off ex or hiding out for some reason at this point. It's been too long and there is a toddler involved, and toddlers need a lot of supplies.

I hope I am wrong.

Are there any current searches taking place right now? This is very alarming.
Nothing that I've seen. Ugghh. Prayers for a safe return.

I wonder what was purchased at the Wal-Mart? Baby wipes / Diapers? Medicine? Phone chargers? Was she under the impression they were going to charge their phones?

I really hope I am wrong but I don't get the feeling a good outcome will come out of this situation.

Likewise. Two weeks is too long....

Is Hansen the father of both children? Or just the little girl?

I think just the girl. Jill also has a 10yr old child; that child’s stepmother was in a few articles stating that Jill would never leave as Jill’s 10yr old spends weekends with Jill. If Nicolas Hansen was also the father of the 10yr old, the stepmother would have noted that both of 10yr old’s parents are missing IMO.

Bring them home safely. Should this case be put into Namus?

Marking my spot.

I don't think Jill is missing voluntarily. Why would they go radio silent? She has another child and it appears she's very close to her family. I am also questioning the WalMart trip, was it really them?

I agree @Ontario Mom ... it just doesn’t make sense that she would go camping with an ex while engaged to another. Not willingly anyway ... and as the days go by I am surprised they have not been seen. Where could they possibly be? And I’m wondering ... has there been any concern, interviews, reaching out, searching ... by his family? Are they wondering about their son and granddaughter? I haven’t seen or heard anything from them. Have I missed something? Moo

If Lydia is 2 (and I don't see any info about if she's newly 2 or closer to 3), there's a good chance she's already potty-trained. Doesn't take away from all the other assorted things kids need but obviously diapers are one of those more urgent things and they may not be using them at all.

Edit: I realized after typing this that she's wearing a diaper in the photo. But who knows how recent that photo is.

I don’t have much of use to say. I keep checking on this one. The Mexico Walmart was my local Walmart growing up (after it opened in 2002). I grew up in the next town and still go there regularly.

I have been in Phillips/Madrid and like the article says, there really is absolutely no reception there (even US Cellular and Verizon from what I remember, at least in some areas). It is extremely, extremely remote. It’s not far from Rangeley. My parents and I were doing a walking trail. Maine has spotty areas sometimes but this was bigger than that. So that’s pretty scary if they’re lost or someone (themselves included) had ulterior motives. Please everyone, get personal locator beacons or satellites messengers.

It’s kind of interesting they went through Mexico. Sanford to Phillips direct give routes through Farmington instead (which has a Walmart) on google maps, but I always envision going through the Mexico area for stuff of course. You can go to the Rangeley area through Roxbury and that is a nice drive, past Coos Canyon, etc.

I wonder if cameras showed them completely leaving the parking lot of Walmart (they must have). There is a huge embankment and river behind Walmart (technically to the right, looking at the entrance). A woman got extremely seriously injured years ago falling down it after chasing plastic bag.

Both Sanford and the Mexico/Rumford areas are big drug areas. Random.

Also there’s not much info out there. Like are people searching their supposed route, or Phillips for them? Sanford is a ways away. The articles says Sanford police are looking. Just interesting.

Looks like they could also go from Mexico through Dixfield/Carthage (can also have extremely remote areas with no reception, as well as Weld), Weld (Mount Blue State Park) etc. there are some popular trails I recognized the names of but that were also very remote one day when I was driving around Carthage and Weld. Like tunnels of trees, rocky streams, dirt roads, etc.
Perhaps I should look into asking about posting flyers next time I’m up.

Has anyone seen if either Nicholas or Jill were employed?
If not, what was their money source?
That’s a good place to start?
