Her white Nissan vehicle was found parked on Pierce Street in Belfast, close to the Armistice Footbridge, police said. They did not say when it was found there.

Presley said that MacDonald had last been seen on Sept. 9 by Belfast police officers, who reached out to her about an incident where she had been confused and wandered into somebody else’s house.

I wonder why was Joy confused and walked into someone's house? Does she take any medication that may cause this? It's been a long time since she went missing, I hope that she is safe somewhere.

Searchers look in river for missing Belfast woman

On a Facebook post made over the weekend, her sister said she hadn’t heard from MacDonald in a month and a half, and that text messages had stopped being delivered to her phone on Saturday night.

Maybe I'm overtired but I'm having trouble understanding the sequence of events. What triggered the missing persons report? Finding her car? The fact that she stopped getting texts? How do they even know that? I'm having flashbacks to Anneliese Heinig.
I hope she's found safe.

I wonder if she may have become confused and stepped off one of the nearby piers mistaking it for the footbridge?

This is right in the middle of town, her home is walking distance from where she was found, my daughter owns a restaurant in Belfast.
If it's her, I mean.
