Circumstances of Disappearance
Miller was last seen in Tenants Harbor, Maine on May 1, 1975. Miller, and his business partner, Michael Percy , were on their way back from Stockton Springs in a lobster boat Miller had just bought. Their parents suspect the boat overheated; Âits hatch cover was off when it was found the next day, anchored in the bayÂ, but what happened next is unclear. The skiff was found upside down the next day in Belfast. The men, however, were never found.

The water was 40 degrees that day, suggesting hypothermia as a cause of death. The weather was clear and calm; the bay was flat. The Coast Guard eventually issued a report saying the pair was lost at sea. Miller's family say their son was not the type of person who would even have considered leaving his family in such a way. The original police file was lost over the years.

The Coast Guard eventually issued a report saying the pair was lost at sea. Percy's family holds no hope that Percy could still be alive somewhere. No one has claimed to have seen him since the accident, and they believe the area fishermen who say the two men's bodies likely sank into one of the deep holes on the floor of the bay. The original police file was lost over the years.

In what way is it confusing? Looks like the sea took them, which one set of parents accepts and the other doesn't. They were in a lobster boat and then they weren't. Happens.

It says the bay was calm. Although a fisherman stated that there are deep holes at the bottom where their bodies could sink and never be found

There were indications of the boat overheating from the open hatch. Perhaps smoky? The fellows may have panicked and gone into the water if they perceived the possibility of a fire. Hypothermia would have set in quickly. Anything is possible and my scenario may not be the correct one but it doesn't appear a crime was committed, just a terrible accident.

Yeah, I don’t suspect foul play hat anything to
Do with this.

The boat they were last seen on was found abandoned. A skiff from the boat was found upside down. The fellows have never been seen again. In my opinion, the equation points to only one solution, the saddest one.

Yeah, I think they're in the databases so in case their remains ever wash ashore, they can be identified.

I have the impression that they escaped in another boat that they were hiding from something or someone or had something to hide (I say this with great respect) in any case they were young boys..
rest in peace friends
