Police search for missing Litchfield woman

City police joined the search this week for a 26-year-old Litchfield woman reportedly last seen in Lewiston early on the morning of Jan. 20.

Friends and family members of Kaitlyn Danforth created flyers earlier in the week reporting she was last seen on Lisbon Street at 4 a.m.

According to some reports, Danforth was wearing neither a coat nor shoes when she went missing, although other reports disputed that.


Danforth is known to have connections in the Lewiston-Auburn area.

She is described as about 5 feet 2 inches tall and between 85 and 120 pounds. She has naturally dark hair that might feature blonde highlights, according to the flyer.

Anyone with information about Danforth’s whereabouts is asked to contact Lewiston police Detective Zack Provost at 207-513-3001, Ext. 3316.

Police Need Your Help Locating This Missing Maine Woman

The Lewiston Maine Police Department is seeking the publics help in locating a missing woman.

Kaitlyn Danforth, 26, of Litchfield, Maine has been missing since 1/20/22.

Kaitlyn was last seen in Lewiston on January 20th. She has dark hair with some blonde in it. She is 26 years old, weights approximately 85lbs, and is 4'2" tall.

Her family is very concerned for her safety.

She looks both height-weight proportionate and of normal height compared to those around her, so I'm strongly doubting 4'2 and 85lbs.

There is a picture on July 4th this year, she is standing in between two males. I also think 4'2 is wrong. Another full body shot on September 1st, tells me the weight may be off as well.

This article states Kaitlyn is 5'2". Maybe it was a typo.
