Card is enlisted in the U.S. Army Reserve, where he has served as a petroleum supply specialist since 2002, and has an active military ID, which gives him access to any military base, according to the law enforcement bulletin.

That ID would be flagged in a heartbeat at any base gate as he attempted to enter and he'd certainly know that that so, he wouldn't even try to enter any base.

Curious now what his YT history looks like, and if he followed off-gridders, preppers, homesteaders, etc.
If he did, then he totally could have figured out how to prep for off grid living. It's really not that hard, but it's a massive change of lifestyle that most people could never pull off.
This guy having literally nothing left to lose, the off-grid life would work for him.

Although I still think he's likely already deceased somewhere.

I agree but so far I’ve only seen media calling it a suicide note - that is to my knowledge law enforcement has only described it as a note to his son - but one media report did say their LE source told them they were trying to “de-code” it - so I have no idea what that may mean or whether it’s even true because media no longer checks facts before reporting and is starting to get the news wrong almost as often as the weather.

I've been wondering if he has an ATV. He could leave one vehicle at the boat launch, giving the impression he escaped by boat or jet ski, but ride an ATV to a hidden second vehicle. Sounds goofy, I know. But I do wonder if he had an ATV or dirt bike, etc.

Edited to add: or drive the second vehicle to an ATV stashed somewhere that he could ride into the dense woods. Idk....where is he??

If he is/was really planning........ I just don't think his plans would include boat, or motorcycle. Though they apparently found a weapon in his white subaru, I just think whatever plan he has would include carrying as many weapons as he could hold onto, for now.

Perhaps second car though. I am sure LE or family has some information on vehicles, thought too much news in real-time to get that information out.

I feel he is dead or getting close to it. But feel, if he is planning, he would remove himself from the local area... but not too too far away. 90% of Maine is wilderness..............

I saw reports last night that indicated he chose the locations him and his ex used to frequent together.
If she's among the victims, he's done.
If she's not, he might still be alive, waiting to finish the job.

he killed mostly men- only ID'd woman was the one working part time in the bowling rec bldg when she went for a phone to call 911...

They are quoting the family as saying the family believes his ex was the target.

I’m a little confused on the suspected means of escape…car found at Pejepepscot boat ramp of Androscoggin river- seems logical he got in a watercraft. Media has reported he has a 15 ft bayliner that is unaccounted for and that he has a sea-doo jet ski registered in his name - though I have seen no report on whether that jet ski is accounted for or not. I saw somewhere that said he had a motorcycle and could have had it parked at the boat ramp to throw off LE & cause them to think he was on the river.

Can anyone point me to any info on whether the jet ski has been located? Or if anything about the motorcycle has been confirmed?

Also, is there any indication whether he typically had the boat or jet ski at his home or docked somewhere or anything?

And are there any pics of the boat or jet ski? It seems to me that if LE really thinks he may have escaped on a watercraft pics of those would be all over the media urging people to look for them and yet I haven’t seen any - though I did see something that indicated either the sea doo or the boat was green.

I think that one reporter covering this needs to slow down and get the facts straight and report them to inform the public correctly.

There is a dam upsteam as well as downstream. I highly doubt he went by boat at the boat dock. I think it was a decoy
