Found Deceased ME - Lisa Cox, 30, Brunswick, 19 Oct 2015

I think they were waiting on autopsy results. I'm not sure how long those take.

I had read on FB that the family said they were told by police not to expect them too soon. No specifics were given.

I was reading about something unrelated and happened upon this. Maybe it will help.

Suicide often not preceded by warnings

Although some people who commit suicide have an identifiable mental health problem, like depression or addiction, others don’t. Some talk about wanting or planning to kill themselves or give other hints, others don’t. As my colleague Annmarie Dadoly wrote in this blog last year, many suicides are impulsive acts, with the decision to do it being made just minutes or hours before that act.

More than 100 Americans commit suicide every day. It’s the tenth leading cause of death overall; third among 15- to 24-year-olds and fourth among 25- to 44-year-olds.

Interesting the article said she lives in TX w/ her BF and that they were visiting her old stomping grounds in Maine.

Here's her IG https://instagram.com/coxlisamariexoc/

And going back a considerable ways I have yet to see a single picture of them together.

^ That's because her boyfriend is recently divorced. Lisa hadn't been dating him long.

I have no idea how much time is typical, but would the results be back by now? I keep checking online and so far haven't seen any news at all.

I would definitely think so. Don't know how much I can say, except the say the police are not telling the family anything.

What a terrible limbo to be stuck in.

I believe it can take 6-8 weeks for toxicology results to come back so I'm not at all surprised that there's been no mention of autopsy report yet. And even once it's back, if there's no reason for the ME to believe it was anything other than suicide, we likely won't hear anything - there is no obligation for the autopsy results of a suicide victim to be released publicly.

The family is seeking the results and they have not been given any information.

It seems like much longer but it's only been 4 weeks since she was found so probably no info yet to share, if still awaiting toxicology results.

I still think of Lisa often and wonder how her family is doing and if they've gotten any conclusive answers.

I think of her too....and I visit her remembrance FB page. Several folks have left comments on the side bar but no one is responding to them right now.

I did not know Lisa, but every now and then I think of her. I still question if she committed suicide. I think of her family and friends and pray for them this holiday season.
