Found Deceased ME - Sarah McCarthy, 28, said that she didn't know where she was, Cornish, 14 Feb 2020

Idk this area at all. I see the Pub in Cornish & the Ossipee River- but Parsonsfield seems to be totally south. Is the article in error? With the Pub road all along the river, just don’t imagine that much disorientation without a medical or chemical issue. She had to be very familiar with that road? I hope LE doesn’t dismiss this as accident.

Parsonsfield includes the villages of Kezar Falls, Parsonsfield, and North, East and South Parsonsfield. If you zoom out on a google map, you'll see that this area of Kezar Falls is incorporated with the greater 'Parsonsfield' area.

I have a niece who is 26 and is a pharmacy tech. She lives near where this young lady lived. My niece and her friends are posting on social media what they suspect happened. Not a single one of them believes this young lady wasn’t intentionally drugged. I hope that her workplace has videos inside and out, so that every single patron is questioned. I hope they wipe that place down for safety and they don't let the trash be hauled off yet.

If she finally found the right way, she could be speeding. People tend to do that on familiar roads. I can imagine someone being lost, then finding the right way and, in relief, speeding to get faster home.

Besides, how bad you think her disorientation was? If she really felt very bad, I cannot imagine her getting back into the car after calling the family.

All I know is that her mom thought she was disoriented enough to think someone may have drugged her. Link upthread. For a mom to think that, I’m guessing pretty bad. But that’s just my guess, mo.

Who updates the thread headlines after the person has been found/recovered, etc.? Is it done by an admin? Thanks in advance.

A person "reports" their own post when they find MSM or LE confirmation of a change in status to the missing person. The mod then would update the post as they process that day's set of reports. If the mods are too efficient, the thread goes to "located" too quickly, and many WSers miss seeing the update!

I just reported on behalf of everybody.

The local news said she was speeding.

I'm glad that Sarah was found so quickly, but I'm very sad that she was found deceased. RIP Sarah, and condolences to her family and friends.

I made an update map of all of the locations mentioned so far in this thread, because I was trying to understand why her cell phone ping was in the opposite direction of where she was travelling, and from where she lived. I hope any Maine residents can point out if I confused anything.

خرائط ‪Google‬‏‏
  • Limington--location of last cell phone ping
  • Fairgrounds Pizza and Pub--location of Sarah's employment
  • Elm Street & Maine 25 (Freedom Street)--where Sarah's vehicle was spotted in the Ossipee River
  • Conway, NH--location of a "friend's house," where Sarah was supposedly driving to after leaving work
  • Sebago--where Sarah lived

The map looks fairly accurate to me. The restaurant (Fairgrounds Pizza & Pub) is in Cornish, which isn't terribly far from Limington. Both towns are kind of out there and cell reception was dropping in and out while we were out searching for her today. My guess is that the Limington cell tower covers the greater Cornish/Parsonsfield/Porter areas, but that's JMO.

So basically she could have been anywhere in the area, and not necessarily as far afield as it looks?
