That story sounds like bollocks to me. Im very confused about the dating site thing, was that proven? How do we know it was the girls using it and not the grandad?

I dont know, i can see a possibility of her leaving on her own and getting lost. I don’t think she went to meet someone, and it makes me even more suspicious if they’re using that explanation.
This happened close to home, imo, I just don’t feel like this one will ever be resolved

You can't get on a weird website with a flip phone, can you?

I don't think Stefanie walked off at all. IMHO MOO

I really and truly hope she's alive and well somewhere, living her best life.
Like Christina Plante!

"Authorities in Arizona say Christina Marie Plante has been found alive, after disappearing 32 years ago as a 13-year-old girl.

The Gila County Sheriff’s Office announced Plante’s missing person case had been closed Wednesday [April 1, 2026] after authorities were able to locate her and confirm her identity."

"...We turned the information over to authorities in January and later this year they were arrested by the FBI in an undercover operation and determined to be a predator.” [snipped]

Do you have more information about who was arrested by the FBI and where? I appreciate Team Stefanie's work. I always like to see as many official news reports, arrests, court documents, etc. I never heard or saw official news of an arrest directly related to Stefanie's case. (I'll double check to see if I'm mistaken or misinterpreting Rand's statement.)

Yes, there are flip phones that can access the internet. I considered buying one for a friend who kept accidentally damaging his non-flip phones. The Cat S22 carried by T-Mobile was one I considered. You can probably find others with a simple search on the internet. Below is how AI answered your question -- but we all know that AI makes mistakes so always do your independent verification and research. Direct quotes below:

Phones like:

Alcatel Go Flip
Nokia 2720 Flip
TCL flip models
Any KaiOS‑based device

These look like flip phones but actually have:

A real browser (usually a stripped‑down Firefox engine)
4G LTE
Ability to load modern websites
Ability to click links from texts
Ability to access social media sites (in limited form)

These phones can absolutely load modern websites, including:

News sites
Social media
Random domains
“Weird” or suspicious sites

They won’t display them nicely, but they will load.

So if someone has a modern flip phone, the answer is yes — they can get onto almost any website.

== End of direct quote from AI ==

Attached is a screenshot of one page from the online users manual for the Nokia 2720V Flip phone. I got curious and "fact checked" AI. As you can see, the phone can connect to the internet.
