The family has now put out statement regarding their daughter which outlines a little more about the day she was last seen.
In their statement they said: “Stefanie got into an argument with her sister while we were gone and walked off. We live a half mile back in the woods and our kids are very comfortable in their surroundings so there was nothing to raise flags the first few hours.”

A portion of the family’s statement addresses allegations and accusations the family has faced on social media. Over the last month, people online have made comments regarding the family’s parental decisions.
The family wrote: “Our children are homeschooled and taught the basics and sent to Job Corp for their GEDs. CPS has been in our house verified and confirmed everything. We had nothing to do with this, we just want our baby home.”
The family also confirmed they are working on planning a ground search in New Sweden.
