Baez wants Florida Attorney General Bill McCullom to take over the case from Tallahassee.

Local 6 News reported that Baez cannot prove that the state attorney's office is trying to sabotage him but is hoping the judge will hold a hearing on the matter, so he can question state employees under oath to see if they complained about him to the bar.

There has been no hearing date has been set for the request to remove the prosecution.
A spokeswoman for the court said the case will not be heard at the next scheduled hearing on Friday.
As for George Anthony, he remains in a hospital in Daytona Beach. Conway said Anthony should be moved to a facility closer to Orlando by the end of the week.

Jose Baez's most recently filed document lists several reasons Casey's defense team believes she has the right not to attend court hearings as ordered by Judge Stan Strickland.
Baez submitted, as part of the objection, a "Waiver of Defendant's Appearance" signed by Casey Anthony on January 26.

In a Sept. 4 news release, Black wrote that Press Corps Media "has been retained by The Baez Law Firm to coordinate any and all media inquiries."

Baez himself, in an October news conference he held to address statements Black made about the case on CNN Headline News, said, "He [Black] does not have any legal opinions whatsoever. He's simply a spokesman for our firm."

Casey Anthony, 22, was escorted into the court room around 8:15 a.m. this morning, smiling. She was seen taking notes throughout the court proceeding.

Judge Strickland granted the defense's motion to access the crime scene where the remains of Anthony's daughter, Caylee, were found. He said he will rule on the defense's request to obtain the records of Equusearch volunteers who helped in the search at a later date.
It was also determined that if the trial is not set for the end of the year, a change of venue motion may not be necessary.

Strickland said that it is premature for him to make a decision about change of venue, but Baez disagreed, saying that he would like to know if the case is moving and to what area.

A former Los Angeles Police homicide detective does not believe the woods where Caylee Anthonys&#8217; remains were found are the first place someone left her after she died.

&#8220;When the body was put in the trunk of her car, the body was decomposed,&#8221; he said. &#8220;We do know that there is soil that&#8217;s in the trunk of the car. That&#8217;s important because that means the child either has to be in contact with soil, where moisture that holds soil onto the bag or it was immersed in some kind of soil, taken out and put in the trunk.&#8221;

Drane-Burdick said the time frame made the discussion of a change of venue premature, but Baez disagreed.

News 13 spoke to a law expert who said, in some cases, it's to the defendant's benefit to appear in all court proceedings.

"The judge just kind of wants to make sure, get a chance to see the defendant, and in some cases, it is to the defendant&#8217;s benefit to make sure that they're being treated properly in jail," said Dean Kenneth Nunn from FAMU Law School.

10:19 a.m. Prosecutors don't anticipate a murder trial for Casey Anthony until later this year -- at the earliest, Assistant State Attorney Linda Drane Burdick told the judge this morning.
Anthony's attorney Jose Baez said he wants to address possibly moving the trial to another area to ensure his client's gets a fair jury. He plans to file the request soon.
