George Anthony was released from Halifax Medical Center around 6:00pm Tuesday and is back home. It was believed upon his release from Halifax Medical Center that George Anthony would likely be brought to another hospital closer to his house.
Eyewitness News made several calls to George Anthony's attorney Tuesday night to find out his condition, but the calls were not returned. The hospital would only confirm that he was no longer a patient.

Anthony was admitted to Halifax Health Medical Center in Daytona Beach on Jan. 23 after threatening to commit suicide. His wife, Cindy, picked him up, and they left between 7 and 7:30 p.m., family attorney Brad Conway said.
Anthony, 57, is no longer despondent and plans to continue his recovery with outpatient counseling.
"He's feeling good," Conway said. "He's ready. He's totally receptive. And this is part of the healing process. He knows that his family needs him, and he's ready to move forward."

With George Anthony, Caylee Anthony's grandfather, out of inpatient psychiatric care he and his wife, Cindy, are trying to plan the funeral for their grandaughter.
"He's very happy to be back in town and he's very happy to be with his family and continues to spend time with his father who's now out of the hospital and really try to begin to emotionally heal from this entire event," attorney Tom Luka said.

Gonzalez's attorney, John Morgan, said he wants to depose the Anthonys in front of the press.
"Then we have some surprise questions for them they may have some difficulty answering," he said.Luka said Lee Anthony will have very little to say about that claim, and that Morgan's idea to conduct public depositions won't be allowed by the judge.

Casey Anthony civil suit heats up
By Nikki Pierce @ February 4, 2009 2:43 AM

Another thing Kasen is unclear on is why Lee, George and Cindy Anthony received subpeonas for Gonzales's case Tuesday. "We don't quite have any understanding on why it is they're setting them for deposition. I don't know what information Mr. Mitnik hopes to glean from them."
But, Kasen adds that he has a surprise move of his own - a mystery motion that he's working on with Casey.
"I can't go into the specifics of that yet," he says, "but we'll be filing something, and it'll probably be filed by the end of the week."

So far, the county has paid more than $7,500 dollars. It was an effort to help Kronk maintain privacy.
Wednesday, a county watchdog group told Eyewitness News that's excessive.
"Owing a debt of gratitude doesn't allow the taxpayer to be taken advantage of," said Michael Walzak of CountyWatch.

And if Morgan and Morgan tries to go through with making depositions in their mock courtroom public, “I would object and withdraw my client from the deposition, we'd then go before a judge. I'd notify a judge immediately," said Luka.
Luka added that if it went that far, he would likely file a complaint with the Florida Bar Association.

"I'm shocked an attorney would try to turn a deposition into a circus,” said George and Cindy Anthony's attorney, Brad Conway.
Conway said he is planning to file a motion of protective order on his client’s behalf. Cindy and George Anthony are scheduled separate depositions on February 26th. Lee Anthony is scheduled on the 27th

Orange County has set the price of sudden fame: $10,000.
"It was right to give him counsel," Walzak said. "He doesn't know anything about standing before the media, doing press conferences."
"We just keep going on as if the old days are continuing," he said. "They need to look at every avenue where money can be saved."
If Evans is required to represent Kronk as a witness in the criminal case against Caylee's mother, Casey Anthony, Evans has asked the county in writing to consider raising its cap.

Source: Casey's Attorney Marketing Photos To Media
Thursday, February 5, 2009 – updated: 6:25 pm EST February 5, 2009

Jose Baez is hiring some very expensive experts to defend Casey on this first-degree murder charge. They are hiring nationally-known experts who don't come cheap. But WFTV's legal analyst, Bill Sheaffer, said Casey's efforts to possibly help pay for them by marketing photos to the media could backfire in the court of public opinion.
Casey continues to be well-funded in jail. She had about $300 in her jail account Thursday and spent $12 this week on snacks and a drink. She also received another $75 from complete strangers living in Fort Lauderdale, California and Michigan.
The public relations spokesman for Casey's defense team finally admitted he's convicted felon Gil Cabot. A Press Corps Media release Thursday confirmed Cabot was one of several media contacts working under the name of Todd Black.

Caylee Anthony service: WESH says Casey could watch on TV

Casey Anthony will be allowed to watch the televised service, WESH reported. "A corrections spokesman told me that they have not gotten a request from her, but they say there is nothing in their policy that would prevent her from watching it on TV," Kealing said.

Brad Conway, attorney for George and Cindy Anthony, said the service could last two hours, Kealing said.
Grandparents George and Cindy "are taking an active role in planning the service," WKMG's Louis Bolden said. Speakers and a video presentation are likely. The grandparents plan to attend, but it isn't known if they will speak, Bolden said.
More details will be released at a Friday news conference, WFTV-Channel 9 reported.

Defense claims Casey Anthony case mirrors TV show

Casey Anthony's defense attorneys appeared this morning on NBC's Today Show and compared their client with the lead character from the popular 1960s TV show, The Fugitive.
In that television show, actor David Janssen plays Dr. Richard Kimble. He blames a one-armed man for the murder of his wife, but no one believes him and he is convicted in her death. Kimble runs from the law, but is vindicated in the end.
"The person who seemed to be so guilt that the locals have made this person so guilty," attorney Linda Kenney Baden told Today Show host Meredith Vieora. "He was so hated and he ran from the law and it turns out he was innocent. In this case, we believe our client [Anthony] is innocent."

Baez said they plan to seek a change of venue.
"Right now (in) Orlando, it's an unbearable place to try and try this case. It would be futile. But if we go to another location, I don't want that disclosed. Quite frankly, I don't want what's going on in Orlando to happen to the new location," Baez said.
Prosecutors have said that it's too soon for a decision to be made on a change of venue because the trial is likely months away from beginning.
