Casey Anthony's parents brought their own video camera with them this morning to their depositions at the Morgan & Morgan Law Office.
George and Cindy Anthony's attorney, Brad Conway said he has been preparing for these depositions for weeks. He has made it clear that he will not let this be a "fishing expedition" for Gonzalez's attorneys.

In February, Lee Anthony, the couples son, sat through three hours of questioning. His attorney would not let him answer questions like the identity of Caylee's father, and if he thinks Casey could be responsible for what happened to Caylee. Conway has been adamant that he will only let his clients answer questions about Zenaida Gonzalez, not the murder case against their daughter Casey.

George Anthony said he never heard the name Zenaida Gonzalez until July 2008, but he did hear his daughter talk about "Zany" a year before that.
"I still believe there's a Zanny out there," Anthony said during his deposition.
He would not answer whether his wife still believed a babysitter existed. The family's attorney said conversations between the couple were privileged communication between a husband and wife.

The interviews will come one day after a bizarre twist in the Anthony investigation after an allegation surfaced that Casey Anthony's brother, Lee Anthony, tried to pressure his sister to have sex with him.

Casey Anthony case: Maker of Caylee doll sued

The Jacksonville promotions company that sold dolls inspired by Caylee Marie Anthony was sued today by the Attorney General's Office.
Showbiz Promotions and its owner, Jaime Salcedo, are accused of intentionally misrepresenting where proceeds from the sales of the dolls would go, according to Attorney General Bill McCollum.

The lawsuit states that Showbiz and Salcedo claimed a $5,000 donation was made to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, when in fact, only a $10 donation was confirmed.

"Any company that intentionally misleads innocent consumers to believe they are contributing to worthy charitable causes is absolutely reprehensible," said Attorney General Bill McCollum. "It is disgusting that a company would exploit a tragic situation for personal gain."

Caylee Doll Makers Sued By Attorney General

Florida Attorney General Bill McCollum has filed a lawsuit against the maker of the Caylee Sunshine Doll and the Michael Vick Chew Toy.

The lawsuit requests the Duval County Circuit Court issue a permanent injunction prohibiting the defendants from operating www.cayleedoll.com and from engaging in any activity in violation of the Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act.

The Attorney General is also seeking civil penalties in the amount of $10,000 per willful violation of the Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act.

Casey Anthony case: WFTV says lawyers having a hard time questioning her dad

"We also learned the attorneys are having a hard time getting information out of George Anthony," WFTV-Channel 9's Mark Boyle. In an update at 12:30, WFTV anchor Barbara West said Gonzalez's lawyers took a short break and hoped the second part of George's deposition "will be better." The delay means Cindy Anthony will be interviewed later this afternoon, West said.

WKMG-Channel 6's Tiffany Tift said Cindy had been supposed to go this morning and George this afternoon. "We do not know why, but for some reason, they were switched," Tift said. "Right now, George Anthony is in the hot seat."
WESH anchor Syan Rhodes said the station had confirmed that three complaints have been filed with the Florida Bar against Jose Baez, Casey Anthony's attorney. WFTV broke the story last night that two complaints had been filed involving Dominic Casey, Baez's former private investigator. WESH said the third complaint involves a public-relations firm, Press Corps Media, that helped Baez. The investigation could take 30 days, Rhodes said.

Oh, we are so amused.
So is Florida's Attorney General.
He's suing Salced and his company, Showbiz Promotions.

But prosecutors said little or no contributions were made to these organizations by either Salced or Showbiz Promotions. The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children was supposed to get $5,000 from Showbiz Promotions -- but only got $10.

We are so not surprised.....

Bar Confirms P.I. Filed Baez Complaint
Fla. Bar Investigates Casey Anthony's Defense Attorney

The Florida Bar has confirmed that a complaint filed against defense attorney Jose Baez was made by Dominic Casey.

The bar confirmed the complaint first to Local 6 on Tuesday, but at the time would not confirm who filed it.

Casey, a private investigator who worked for the Anthony family, accused Baez of telling him to do something other than call 911 if he found Caylee Anthony either dead or alive. Caylee's body was found in an area Casey had searched several months prior.

Judge Stan Strickland also referred a complaint against Baez to the bar, but it was in reference to Casey's original complaint in order to make the bar aware of the situation.

"Who committed this murder has everything to do with Zeniada Gonzalez, because whoever committed this murder means Zenaida didn't," Morgan told reporters. "When we prove who did it, we prove she didn't. And when we prove she didn't, we prove our case."

George vowed that he wouldn't be back for more questioning, but Morgan warned: "You'll do what the judge says."
"There were so many questions that George did not want to answer," D'Onofrio said.
"John Morgan said he's going to go to a judge to force George Anthony to answer the questions he wouldn't answer," WFTV's Belich said.

WKMG's DeForest also reported that Dominic Casey, the Anthony family's private investigator, filed a complaint with the Florida Bar against Jose Baez, who is representing Casey Anthony.
The Bar is investigating Baez.
Dominic Casey says Baez told him not to call law enforcement immediately if he found Caylee's remains -- an allegation that Baez denies.

Casey Anthony case: Was Cindy more contentious than George?

George Anthony's angry deposition in a civil suit against his daughter was the top story in early evening newscasts. After her deposition, Cindy blasted attorney John Morgan and snapped at her husband, who told her to be quiet.

On WKMG-Channel 6, Mitnik explained how Cindy's deposition went: "She really didn't want to answer our questions. She thought they were frivolous, they were unfair."

And what of Morgan's reaction to the day? "He feels bad for what George Anthony is going through, but he did not offer any type of sympathy for Cindy," WKMG 's Mike DeForest said.
That left the impression that Cindy's deposition had been rocker than George's.

WFTV-Channel 9's Kathi Belich highlighted the contradictions in George Anthony's comments. "Under oath, he said he didn't know anything about things that Casey and Cindy have said publicly, things that have been widely reported," she said.
Belich noted that he contradicted things he had said to investigators.

George's deposition began at 10:30 a.m. at the Law Offices of Morgan & Morgan.
George seemed combative through much of the interview, visibly upset with the questions being answered.
George said he believed Casey worked at Universal until the time she was arrested. He also said he had never heard of Zenaida Gonzalez until July 2008.

Cindy Anthony started her deposition at 1:30 p.m.
She was forced to answer questions on her daughter, Casey's income, what she knew about Caylee's babysitter and Cindy's explanation on a premonition made by Casey that tragically came true.
Cindy&#8217;s deposition was a combative and emotional one. Brad Conway, her attorney, said the Anthonys just weren&#8217;t ready for that line of questioning.
"The lawyers today knew what buttons to push today and they did," Conway said.

Cindy was very uncomfortable during her deposition Thursday. She didn't appear to be happy and didn't like a lot of questions. When she walked out after the three-hour deposition, she muttered something that sounded like she said she couldn't stomach attorney John Morgan.

George Anthony was also questioned under oath Thursday, but he didn't want to answer what lawyers were asking.
It seemed he took out a lot of his anger over the whole situation on Zenaida Gonzalez's lawyers. He did not want to answer specific questions about why he never searched for Zanny the nanny when Caylee disappeared and he did not want to answer questions about Casey stealing money from his family when they tried to find out how, without a job, Casey would have paid a nanny.

Rocky day for Casey Anthony's parents

Casey Anthony's parents appeared combative and threatened to walk out Thursday while being questioned separately under oath in the defamation case against their daughter.

Tension dominated the five hours of videotaped questioning conducted behind closed doors at the Orlando offices of the Morgan & Morgan law firm.

"I'm giving Mr. Morgan what he wants. He wants a friggin' TV show," said Cindy Anthony during her three-hour interview. "We're getting it. You know, this is all he wants. This is why we're here today."

Florida attorney general sues firm over Caylee Anthony, Michael Vick dolls

The lawsuit states a link was posted on cayleedoll.com that directed viewers to see the first donation made by Showbiz to the national nonprofit. A screen shot showed Showbiz Promotions made a $5,000 donation March 6.

But the nonprofit's records show the only donation it received came from Salcedo on March 12 for $10. The nonprofit did not receive a donation from Showbiz, nor any other additional proceeds from Salcedo, the lawsuit said.

When a Sentinel reporter asked Salcedo if he or the company made a $5,000 donation to the NCMEC, he wouldn't comment.

P.I. files latest complaint against Casey Anthony's attorney

The Florida Bar confirmed that private investigator Dominic Casey filed the latest bar complaint against attorney Jose Baez, the Orlando Sentinel has learned.
A portion of Dominic Casey's interview with Orange County and FBI investigators that may have included information about this incident was not released to the public and was reviewed by Judge Stan Strickland. The judge ruled that it would not become public information.
The contents of that interview has not been released.

One reason the Casey Anthony case continues to absorb the public is the family. Parents George and Cindy Anthony have been dramatic figures who fascinate and infuriate the public.

They gave everyone a lot to consider during their heated depositions Thursday in Zenaida Gonzalez's defamation suit against Casey. Casey is charged with daughter Caylee's murder. Gonzalez says Casey ruined her life by linking her to the child's disappearance.

George was angry during his deposition. Cindy took hers to another level with finger pointing, harsh words for attorney John Morgan, an accusation that he slandered her and an attempt to question Gonzalez.

"This is outrageous," Morgan said.

In the wake of Thursday's heated depositions of George and Cindy Anthony, attorneys for Zenaida Gonzalez said they are leaning towards only calling back one of them for more questions.

Gonzalez' attorneys said Friday that Cindy Anthony answered most of their questions. They said that leaves George Anthony as the person they are leaning towards bringing back in for more questions in the civil suit against the Anthonys' daughter, Casey.

Gonzalez' attorneys said George Anthony would not answer questions about Casey trying to keep him from looking in the trunk of her car late June 2008 as well as some other key points.

Anthony Lawyer Thinks Civil Suit Is Frivolous

Appearing on network TV Friday morning, Conway said the lawsuit is frivolous.
"Nobody believed from the beginning, nobody believed at any point that, this lady had anything to do with the disappearance of Caylee Marie Anthony. So for her to claim that she was the focus of the investigation is ridiculous," Conway said.

Attorneys for Zenaida Gonzalez said they may ask a judge to force George and Cindy Anthony to come back to answer questions they refused to answer.

Cindy Anthony yelled at attorney John Morgan while leaving the deposition regarding comments Morgan made about her not looking for her missing granddaughter.

According to Morgan, both George and Cindy Anthony refused to answer many questions. George Anthony refused questions about opening Casey Anthony's trunk and whether Cindy Anthony asked anyone to check the woods off Suburban Drive where Caylee Anthony's remains were eventually found.

Cindy Anthony said she believes someone put Caylee's body in the woods after hearing Casey Anthony say she felt Caylee was nearby. She noted that when a private investigator searched the woods months before Caylee's remains were found, he did not find anything.

Deputy sheriff fired for failing to properly investigate Caylee tip

An Orange County deputy sheriff who failed to properly investigate a tip that might have led investigators earlier to the body of missing Caylee Marie Anthony was fired today.

Deputy Richard Cain was notified of his termination after an internal investigation found his actions to be negligent. He intends to appeal, a sheriff's spokesman said.
The investigators -- Corp. Yuri Melich and Sgt. John Allen – asked why he didn't have Kronk lead him to what the meter reader had found.

Cain said he didn't and he acknowledged under questioning that doing so would have been a reasonable thing to do.
