Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe criticises critics of the investigation:

The search for Madeleine McCann is “moving on a pace” and will not end until all avenues are exhausted, Britain’s top police officer said today.

...

He said: “It’s not for them to decide which investigation we carry out, it’s my decision. This investigation is funded by the government and the only thing that will decide whether or not it continues are the chances of success in finding that girl.

"The number of UK officers investigating the disappearance of Madeleine McCann has been cut from 29 to four, the Metropolitan Police says.

The Met said the "vast majority" of the work in its inquiry into Madeleine's disappearance had been completed.
It said no conclusion had been reached but it was now following a "small number of focused lines of inquiry" which was why the team had been cut.

Madeleine's parents said they "fully understand" the decision."

By Gordon Rayner, Chief Reporter

8:00PM GMT 04 Mar 2016

In the nine years since Madeleine McCann went missing from a holiday apartment in Portugal, myriad theories about what happened to her have taken root, but only one fact remains uncontested: that she was reported missing at 10.14pm on the evening of Thursday, May 3, 2007...

Madeleine McCann has reportedly been seen in Paraquay.

ttedMadeleine McCann has been spotted in Paraguay, a private investigator has claimed. Maddie, who was three years old when she vanished in 2007, has been living in the city of Aregua 'in the custody of a woman', according to researcher Miraz Ullah Ali. The pair are thought to have arrived in the area 'a month or two ago', although police in the area say they have no information that the alleged sighting relates to Maddie.

Ali's claims, penned in a newspaper, have reportedly prompted an anti-kidnapping division, Interpol and four police stations to carry out a hunt for the little girl.

Officers are scouring the city to see if there is someone 'with a similar description' to the 'sighted' child.

I've recently come across this documentary by Richard D Hall. A very interesting and intriguing watch.
Would love a thread to open so we can discuss.
