She said people who think she is responsible need to focus on the person who has Haleigh. Why did she fail polygraph test? She said she didn't want to take it, and she was told she could have failed because she believes it's her fault.

I don't think she helped herself on national TV with this interview. What do you think?

Misty didn't feel much like talking as she walked through the Orlando International Airport. But she did respond briefly to questions about the polygraph test she reportedly failed.

Reporter: "Are you saying you didn't fail the polygraph like people are saying?
Croslin: No I did not.
Reporter: Bottom line, you don't know where Haleigh is."

She did not give details about which of Haleigh's family members she thinks has the now-6-year-old, but Cummings said she thinks the focus of the investigation needs to be wider.

Haleigh Cummings' father doubts Misty has revealed everything, attorney says

Ronald Cummings still stands behind Misty, the last person to see Haleigh Cummings, his attorney said on national television this morning.

Misty Croslin Cummings, may not have revealed everything about the night the Haleigh vanished, but Ronald does not think Misty was involved, said attorney Terry Shoemaker.

"He's just doubting whether everything she said is what transpired that night. But he in no way believes that she is involved whatsoever,'' Shoemaker said on CBS' The Early Show.

Ronald wants to divorce Misty because of the stress the disappearance has placed on their marriage -- not because he thinks his wife Misty was involved, the attorney said.

Ronald married Misty about a month after Haleigh Cummings vanished. Their divorce was announced last week.

"Ron has stuck by Misty all along." Terry Shoemaker. Ronald Cummings was scheduled to appear on the show but couldn't because his youngest child Jr. was sick.


Misty Croslin Cummings, said she suspects someone on the "other side of the family that has her."

The statement was interpreted to mean Ronald Cummings' family. On Monday, the network aired additional footage of the interview that indicated Misty was casting suspicion on the family of Haleigh Cummings' biological mother.

In an e-mail to The Sun on Monday morning, Robert Fields of Putnam County confirmed that he is no longer representing the stepmother of missing Haleigh Cummings.

His decision to stop representing Cummings was apparently made Friday, shortly after Cummings' appearance on the "CBS Early Show."

Cummings said, with "100 percent" certainty, that she had nothing to do with the child's disappearance.

Ron Cummings has filled out the paperwork to divorce his wife. Ron's attorney did not say whether the split is because Ron Cummings believes Misty Cummings hasn't come clean about his daughter's disappearance.

Shoemaker says much of the talk has revolved around where Ronald would like to see this investigation go. He says the Putnam County Sheriff&#8217;s Office is doing an excellent job following leads and tips, but a fresh set of eyes may benefit the investigation.

&#8220;What we&#8217;d like to do is hire an independent private investigator that would allow them to look into some different areas, check down some different stories that have come in and possibly lead the investigation in another direction,&#8221; said Shoemaker.
