Officials discussed a plea agreement to drop two of the five trafficking charges.

"He would plead to the three lesser charges," defense Terry Shoemaker said. "And part of the plea agreement is that he would plead guilty."

Shoemaker is hoping Ronald Cummings will only receive 15 years after the plea deal is made with the state, with the two higher charges - which would mandate a 25-year minimum sentence - dropped.

That would happen Shoemaker said, in exchange "for giving all information he has regarding everything and anything they ask him."

Shoemaker could not specify what that would entail, but he said that it would encompass, "everything that is pending throughout the whole year and a half."

Cummings would also give "substantial assistance" in the narcotics case and testify against Misty Croslin if she goes to trial on the drug charges.

PALATKA — A plea in the prescription drug-trafficking case of Ronald Cummings, would be squarely aimed at co-defendant Misty Croslin, her attorney said following a court hearing for Cummings Monday.

Robert Fields said Cummings’ offer to make a plea in three of five drug charges in exchange for dropping the other two meant he will likely testify against Croslin, who also was arrested in the undercover drug bust.
“Ronald’s obviously cutting a deal to testify against her,” Fields said.

Cummings’ attorney and prosecutor Jason Lewis asked Judge LaRue for a month to work out details.

Two of the charges are for amounts of prescription drugs that carry a minimum mandatory sentence of 25 years. Two others mandate 15-year sentences and one requires a three-year sentence.

Hank and Lisa Croslin were at the hearing as well as TN, GGMS, and other Cummings family, looks like maybe his sister Crystal was there to.

TN says she's supposed to call "John" (Detective John Merchant) this week and that she spoke with him this morning, she also said the best thing for Ronald right now would be for Haleigh to be found. When the reporter asked her do you think your close to finding out something, TN said she hopes so, she will be talking to Merchant this week..

GGMS (Sykes) says Ronald cried for a week, the week before Father's day. GGMS also feels that Misty knows something.

Ronald's hearing was continued to Aug. 20, hearing to finalize plea.

Another round of drug cases with ties to missing Haleigh Cummings.

On Friday night, Palatka Police arrested Lisa Carmen Croslin, 40, and Hank Thomas Croslin Sr., 41, on charges of purchasing cocaine, tampering with evidence and violating their probation in earlier cases.
According to Assistant Police Chief James Griffith, the Croslins were arrested Friday night during an undercover crack cocaine operation at a home at 809 Bronson St. in Palatka.

"They came up and bought drugs," Griffith said. "(Lisa) was driving and (Hank Sr.) was the passenger. He went inside and bought $20 worth of cocaine."

According to Griffith, the couple was allowed to drive away and appeared to throw the cocaine out the window when they noticed police were trying to pull them over.

Both of the Croslins were already on felony probation, Lisa with forgery and Hank Sr. for doctor shopping. They were both denied bond on the violation of probation charges.

Ronald Cummings tentatively reached a plea agreement with the state on drug-trafficking charges earlier this month and will likely be sentenced to 15 years in prison when he is sentenced in late August.

Tommy Croslin pleaded no contest and will be sentenced Aug. 6.

PALATKA, Fla. -- Hank and Lisa Croslin arrested Friday night for purchasing cocaine from an undercover agent.

Police say a house on Bronson Street in Palatka is a known drug house.

Griffith said the first people who approached the house to buy drugs were Hank and Lisa Croslin.

"The man got out of the vehicle, went up, made contact with the undercover officer, bought 20 dollars worth of crack cocaine, got back in the car and they drove off," Griffith explained.

Lisa Croslin did not buy the drugs, she and her husband were both arrested just down the road.

"Based on some statements she made, she knew the purchase was taking place and she actually admitted to throwing the crack cocaine out the window trying to dispose of it as officers made a traffic stop," Griffith said.

Griffith said, "It would appear based on how this purchase took place, that they would have been to this house and purchased drugs before or had information that drugs were sold there, seems the Croslins know where to get drugs. ."

PALATKA --Testifying for Hank Jr. during the 2-hour hearing were Hank Sr. & Lyndsy. Hank Sr. & Lisa Croslin are jailed on separate drug charges but were in the courtroom as witnesses. Ex-wife Lyndsy, said she was pressed by family to divorce him.

LaRue said Croslin's offer to help detectives solve the mystery carried little weight in his decision.

The judge said the only distinction that struck him was that Croslin continued to deal drugs as an intense investigation was taking place to find the girl who authorities now believe is dead.

"Mr. Croslin is a drug dealer, pure and simple," LaRue said before imposing the sentence.

Werter, was seeking a 3-5 yr prison term. Lewis, asked for 30 years.

Werter said he has 30 days to appeal the sentence or ask that mitigating circumstances be considered to shorten it but has not made a decision to do so. Werter said Hank no longer has an incentive to help investigators in Haleigh's disappearance, as he has been doing.

Lewis said Croslin only came forward when he faced a prison sentence. Investigators still do not have a full picture of what happened the night Haleigh vanished.

"He is still a suspect in that case," Lewis said.

Hank Croslin Sr., admitted to a long history of drug abuse, said when he would bring drugs home, a young Tommy would throw them away.

"He's the one who we thought would make it," he said.

24 Yr old Hank Croslin, told the judge he has been involved with drugs since he was 12, became addicted to pills after moving to PC. He said since being jailed he has turned down several offers of drugs.
He lived with his wife and three children in Satsuma and was a block away from the mobile home where Haleigh was living before she vanished Feb. 10, 2009.

Hank Jr. escaped an earlier trafficking charge when he was arrested in November, but investigators missed finding a stash of pills.

15 Years for Hank

Hank "Tommy" Croslin Jr., a key player in the Haleigh Cummings case, was sentenced to 15 years behind bars Friday morning on drug trafficking charges.

Croslin, who turned 24 this week, was deemed guilty by Circuit Judge Terry LaRue for two counts of trafficking in prescription pills. Croslin will also serve an additional five years for a possession case, and will undergo 10 years of drug offender probation following his release.

In the two-hour hearing, Assistant State Attorney Jason Lewis called a Florida Department of Law Enforcement supervisor to the stand, where a description of the drug transaction was relayed.

While being secretly video-recorded on Dec. 22, an undercover police officer, Croslin and his sister, 18-year-old Misty Croslin, drove to a location in Satsuma to find narcotics pills.

After a few unsuccessful attempts, Croslin parked at the McDonald's in Palatka and purchased 45 oxycodone pills, valued at $650, from a vehicle across the street, Travis Smith, a supervisor with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, said.

Following Smith's testimony, Lewis described Croslin as a "typical drug trafficker" due to his behavior, number of sources and knowledge of the drug.

"The whole meat and potatoes on the Haleigh Cummings investigation is what happened that night," Smith said. "We have yet to have heard what truthfully happened ... With Misty and Tommy, every time we interview them it's a different story. We don't know what the true story is because we can't tell who's lying."

Lewis said Croslin is still a suspect in the Haleigh case and that the state does not consider him as being cooperative.
