MEDICAL EXAMINER RULES ALEX PRETTI DEATH A HOMICIDE -1 - dead after Minneapolis shooting involving immigration agents, US Jan 24, 2026

I just spoke with @RealTomHoman @ICEDirector @CBPCommissioner
. Effective immediately we are deploying body cameras to every officer in the field in Minneapolis. As funding is available, the body camera program will be expanded nationwide. We will rapidly acquire and deploy body cameras to DHS law enforcement across the country.

Pretty sure I heard on Fox News Live yesterday that they won’t have the funding to process the images acquired though. I don’t know how body cameras work but I am concerned they may be a false flag. Need to investigate this further.

Then I humbly recommend they buy the inexpensive ones that just hold a few hours on a microSD. If the wearer finds themselves executing citizens on Main Street, the state will be along to collect it. If they don't hand it over that's consciousness of guilt.

Oh, wait. Everything the masked secret police did that Saturday... is consciousness of guilt.

The Trump administration’s rushed narrative about the killing of Alex Pretti has collapsed

Analysis by Josh Campbell
CNN’s Kristen Holmes and Riane Lumer contributed to this report

Let’s face it: Under the weight of mounting video evidence and subsequent statements by senior Trump administration officials, the swift narrative painting Alex Pretti as a domestic terrorist hellbent on slaughtering federal agents has collapsed.

Senior administration officials now appear to be throwing immigration agents in Minneapolis under the proverbial bus as they blame those on the scene for fueling the administration’s initial half-cocked defense of what transpired.

The killing of Pretti has also resurrected renewed scrutiny of a Department of Homeland Security PR machine that has swiftly rushed to exonerate the actions of agents in incidents involving use of force, despite questionsraised by bystander videos and independent judges.

[…]

Under federal law enforcement policy, agents can use deadly force against someone posing an imminent threat of death or serious physical injury, but no video has surfaced to date showing Pretti actually reaching toward his holstered firearm.

To the contrary, a federal agent was seen on video disarming Pretti just before agents opened fire. Numerous law enforcement experts have noted the tactics appear sloppy at best, and warrant further investigation. The Justice Department has launched a civil rights investigation into the matter.

The backtracking by senior Trump administration officials is now notable.

[…]

Federal law enforcement sources told CNN use of force investigations typically take weeks or even months before authorities render a verdict on an agent’s actions. Yet, during the Trump administration, agents have repeatedly been swiftly cleared of any wrongdoing, including the ICE officer who fatally shot Minneapolis resident Renee Good last month.

Sources are expressing concern about incidents that are not caught on viral videos.

“If it’s purely the ICE agent’s word against someone else, game over,” one federal law enforcement source said. “Unless it’s beyond egregious and on film, they are basically untouchable.”

SHOCKING FEDERAL COURT MOMENT: DOJ attorney Julie Le, "The system sucks, this job sucks" to Judge Jerry Blackwell who pressed her on why so many court orders are being ignored by ICE/Trump admin. She asked to be held in contempt just so she could get 24 hours of sleep.

Judge Blackwell had ordered the SHOW CAUSE hearing because he was frustrated that in 5 Habeas cases he was presiding over, he felt his orders were being ignored, leaving immigrant detainees unconstitutionally locked up for days. Ms. Le said that govt lawyers just cannot keep up. @FOX9

@SeamusHughes

Since last week , AUSA Le has been assigned 38 federal immigration cases. Going back a bit further, she has 87 habeas cases since January 8th.

Speaking to reporters today, Walz added that federal officials have yet to confirm to the governor the identities of the officers who shot and killed Alex Pretti.

“This assault on Minnesota for whatever false reason they want to give, and it continues to change, they don’t care,” Walz said of the Trump administration. “We’re just the test grounds for this and what works here and what doesn’t work here.”

The governor had choice words about the arrival of Tom Homan, Trump’s “border czar”, in the Twin Cities. Homan replaced the belligerent border official Gregory Bovino in Minnesota following Pretti’s death.

Walz said the “only reason” Homan was now in charge was because “Donald Trump was watching TV last Saturday, a week ago, saw the horrific aftermath of Alex’s murder, and told them that this doesn’t look good … This is reality TV for him, and he was losing in the ratings.”

'This is called damage control': Walz slams Noem as immigration officers issued body cameras in Minnesota

Minnesota governor Tim Walz slammed homeland security Kristi Noem at a press conference today. When asked about her latest update, that all immigration officers deployed will be issued with body cameras, Walz said Noem is the “absolutely worst choice for any cabinet position”. The governor also noted that he’s asked for body camera footage of Alex Pretti’s fatal shooting which he’s yet to receive.

“This is called damage control,” Walz said. “I put no stake in what she says at all. But here’s the good thing, every single Minnesotan has a camera. Keep filming. Keep keeping track of this.”

From what I understand she is a private practice attorney helping out the DOJ. She's not a US Attorney. (I'm not sure how this even works) Trying to clarify her roll here. Contractor of sorts? I know they had resiginations at this district, so there is a shortage.

As the immigration crackdown continues in Minnesota, Nicole Cleland, a resident of Richfield, Minnesota, believes federal agents identified her through facial recognition software. ...

One source briefed on DHS tactics confirmed to CBS News that Border Patrol uses facial recognition software, including Mobile Fortify, to scan the faces of demonstrators. ...

Cleland said three days after that interaction with Border Patrol, she received an email notice that said her Global Entry was revoked.

"You can click on a link and there is a letter that just says, 'Your status has been changed. We're not obligated to give you any reason for that change,'" Cleland said after showing WCCO the revocation notice. ...

Cleland says she's less concerned with losing Global Entry and more focused on what could have caused her to lose it.

Oh, wow! This sets a terrifying precedent.
Always cover your face at a protest..

I've been waiting for MSM to cover this and hopefully later tonight we'll get better images. I have family in Minneapolis and know this has been happening for awhile now with protest messages spelled out in liminaries on top of the frozen lakes in the city of Minneapolis. This is the third city lake to be lit. The hope is not only to protest peacefully, beautifully, and neighborly, but that the message also can be seen by flights overhead.

It wouldn't suprise me if even more resignations happen, tbh.

Indeed, wearing a mask but not wearing a badge can be consciousness of guilt.

I console myself with this: there is no statue of limitations on murder. May the shooters be arraigned and arrested, but until then, may they live in fear of a pending arrest every waking moment of freedom.

In January, federal agents in Minneapolis shot a man in the leg and claimed it was in self-defense. There are updates. BBM:

Photographic evidence from the shooting scene of a Venezuelan man by federal agents last month in Minneapolis supports the account of witnesses there — and appears to undercut the narrative provided by federal officials.

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has repeatedly claimed that an officer fired a single shot in self-defense during a violent encounter involving a shovel and a broom on Jan. 14, shortly after a man fled from a traffic stop during a targeted enforcement effort.

But at a federal court hearing in St. Paul on Tuesday, an attorney for one of the men accused of assaulting that officer showed a federal judge and several reporters photographs on his laptop depicting a single bullet hole through the front door of the north Minneapolis home. Additional photographs show damage consistent with a bullet fragment lodged in a bedroom wall down the hallway — suggesting it traveled between a mattress and a portable crib in a room where several small children sleep.

That supports what family members have said all along:
A federal agent shot at them through the front door, striking 24-year-old Julio Cesar Sosa-Celis in the thigh, while they were inside the threshold of the residence.
