Speaking of mind benders I assume you know about the Brian Shaffer case correct? Its mind boggling

I’ll look at it as it doesn’t ring a bell right off. A case that snagged me here is still open and has been driving folks up the wall since 76 is the Sumter Does case.
We always welcome a different perspective from people on here and I’m sure your experience will be appreciated.

I look forward to seeing your posts around WS! We have a great community here. :)

Nope although I did follow her case closely. This is 1980 Westlake Village Jane Doe, nicknamed "Lyra Jade" by a DNA sleuth working her case, killed by Wilson Chouest. Her case is very close to my heart. Feel free to see the link to her thread by clicking the blue link in my signature that says "thread!" We would love to have you at her thread.
I'm reading about Lyra Jade now and I understand genealogy tracing can be far more difficult with those of South American decent as in her case. They aren't taking these tests nearly as much as Americans are. Nonetheless it will very likely be solved one day.

Hi, I'm new here,

I'm originally from London, UK. However, for the past 11 years I've been living in the Caribbean with my husband.
Does this website look at other missing people cases outside North America?

Thanks in advance

Hello All.

I am from Kentucky. Finding answers has always been an obsession of mine. I will spend hours researching, moving from one bit of information to the next, until I land upon the one bit that I’m seeking. I’ve dived deep into genealogy, but even enjoy watching local news and searching into “who is this person” when crimes are committed.

I’m here to follow along and join you all.

Hello. I am new to the site and still learning my way around. Currently a self-employed process server & property inspector, previous careers involved criminal psychology, forensic accounting, and animal science. Volunteering to help with research on unsolved California cases.

Hello,

Does anyone know what type of courses or online programs to take to help the search for the missing people?

Thanks

I think I posted this in the wrong place, so putting it here as well.

Hi, my name is Mark from Belfast, Northern Ireland. I have always had an interest in crime, what makes people tic. I have recently been watching a lot of true crime documentaries, factual series and have just started watching Web of Death. I love the idea of a group of people coming together to help solve cases, or just to let someone know that they haven’t been forgotten about.

At 42 years old I am currently studying for a degree in Forensic Psychology, I hope to graduate in 2 years time.

I look forward to some interesting conversations, and getting to know people from all over the world.

Hello Everyone!

I found this group quite by accident while trying to find information about the number of unexplained deaths, recorded as suicides, in and around waterways.

I live in Shrewsbury, UK. It's a small market town in Shropshire, a rural country- lots of hills- on the border of England and Wales.

In the last couple of years there has been many reports about a possible serial killer, dubbed "The Pusher", who some believe may be responsible for a number of unexplained deaths, recorded as suicide, around the Manchester area.

I must say I was sceptical....until something similar started happening closer to home.

The usual pattern- young, fit, healthy and happy men leave a pub or nightclub in the early hours of the morning. Their bodies are found days later in the river. Witnesses report seeing them with a man, but this man is never identified. CCTV footage often shows the "victim" leaving the club, sometimes with a mystery man, but crucially there is no CCTV of the "victim" near the waterways.

The deaths are recorded as a tragic accident- many of the men had been drinking beforehand, so it's possible that they fell in- or suicide.

It's possible that some of these deaths could be an accident, or suicide. But there are too many unanswered questions. I'll explore these further in my posts.

Anyway, that's enough for now.

Assume Nothing

Hello Everyone!

I'm from a little village in the Shropshire Hills, on the border of England and Wales, UK.

I love solving puzzles and have a keen eye for detail. I like to think I am a good at spotting "clues" and can pick up on things others may have missed or overlooked.

At present I am looking into the number of unexplained deaths- often reported as suicides- in and around UK rivers and waterways. While many "may" be explained, there are too many verdicts that their friends, families, eye-witnesses and amateur sleuths can not accept.
