Good afternoon all,

I'm from the UK and I saw mention of WS on a Reddit thread about a recent case and thus found my way here. WS is exactly the type of place that I've wanted to be a member of for a few years now, but didn't know where to look!

I'm very facts-focused and like to avoid speculation which doesn't materially affect the outcome of the investigation. I'm particularly interested in the movements and actions of suspects after the crime has been committed.

I look forward to getting involved in the discussions, sharing my techniques and learning new ones from you all

Can you point me to that thread please? Can't seem to find it in the forum listings (I am probably looking in the wrong place).

Hi, everyone! My name is Nicole and I've been interested in mysteries since I read my first Nancy Drew book when I was about 6. I enjoy crime documentaries and I found this group while watching a documentary on the Long Island serial killer on Netflix. I'm currently working towards becoming a Licensed Psychologist so I have a vested interest in crisis/grief/trauma counseling. I live on the East coast with my husband, children, and enough animals to fill an ark. I am looking forward to some compelling facts, meaningful conversations and hopefully I can glean some insight into how I can personally assist in your cause. Thank you for doing this! On a personal note, I have a daughter who was abducted when she was 12, I thank God every day that the police were able to use her cell phone to track her abductor. He is currently serving a 13 year sentence in prison.

Hi all,
Newbie here... :) Found on a reddit thread for a case I've been following here.
I'm from Ireland, and into all true crime / mysteries etc.

Kinda raging I found this site to be honest (well ok my boss would be if he found out!!)... There is going to be a lot of working hours spent on WS

Welcome to Websleuths NicoleD. So sorry to hear about your daughters abduction, I hope she is recovered from her experience. I'm sure you will bring valued opinions to the cases here.

Hi everyone, long time lurker here. Drawn to becoming a member through the Sarah Everard case, as I am sure is the case with others.

My pet case if you pardon the trivial expression is that of Suzy Lamplugh and by extension Sandra Court. I am convinced that both cases are close to becoming formally solved. Following the revelation of the December documentary on Channel 5 that Cannan was seen pushing a large suitcase into the Grand Union, I note that Sky are doing a two part documentary this weekend. Moreover, I have geographical knowledge of the canal and have a theory as to the exact part of it. I only hope that police will be moved to carry out what I believe will be a simple search that will not cost much financially.

Greetings from South Carolina SC. Signed up a few months ago. Looking to utilize my knack for " skip tracing" and apply it to some real mysteries. Any direction appreciated!

Hi everyone - I've been a lurker here for a while but the Sarah Everard case, being extremely local to me as a Londoner living in Clapham, is what spurred me to join now.

I'm wondering - is there a thread about the death of Blessing Olusegun? Her case is getting a lot of chatter on social media in the wake of Sarah Everard: Mother's turmoil as daughter, 21, found dead on Sussex beach

Hi everyone! I joined web sleuths to talk to like-minded people. After watching an interviewer with the owner of this website, I enjoyed the policies in place and thought this would be a good environment to be apart of. :)

Hi everyone, I also am a newbie, just signed up yesterday. I am 67 and reside in Richland, WA and have been a true crime buff for years. I come from a family of Police Officers/Deputy Sheriffs, hospital/operating room (me), and military members, myself included. I was a Law Enforcement Specialist in the Air Force as well as a Surgical Technologist in the civilian community. I also began studying Criminal Justice in college. I spend everyday watching/reading true crime stories from all over the world. I am very interested in solving puzzles which is probably where my love of cold cases comes from. I lost a good friend some years ago when she was murdered in the French Quarter in New Orleans, LA. I also tried to help a man who robbed a convenience store and was shot nine times by the owner in New Orleans. Neither the police nor the paramedics would help him as he lay dying right next to me. These are not the kinds of circumstances anyone should ever find themselves in. I am so excited about being a part of WS and hope to learn so much more from my fellow true crime buffs here. I would also like to personally “welcome” all the other newbies to this site.

Hi everyone!
I am new here! Cat mom and social worker. Not working as much due to health issues. Would love to help when I can. I am particularly interested in any missing persons cases in Maryland (where I live). Looking forward to being a part of this community!

Hi, newbie here. I discovered this site through Brain Scratch on Youtube, he did an interview with the owner of this site. My interest in true crime and the like goes back years and I'm glad I've finally found a place where serious discussion happens with like minded people.
