Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex vs Associated Newspapers

I think they keep court stuff a little more confidential than the US does. Jmo

I looked into it and you are right. UK personal rights to confidentiality of materials very strong.

Thanks for that actual copy.
It up to date July 29,2020.
As far as I can see, the defendent position is that confidentiality only applies to the press. I hope the judge sees that a person has at least the same right, AND that control of personal material, literally means control over personal material.

And now the Allieds seem to be going after the Queen and Philip?

Strange shift in DM-Allied.
Attacks continue on Sussexes, but now random negativity about the Queen, Charles and others popping out. Maybe a civil was at DM.

It must be awful to sue an entity that can just continue to print whatever baloney hostile slanted things they like about you in a vast media empire.

Surprised at the judge in a way but this isn't going to be good.
A judge needs to be fair with all parties. This is why the lawsuit was a mistake to file , imo.

Yes. She is fighting a Panzer division with a sling shot.
Still, I remember when the UK was famous for cheering on underdogs and sheer bravery in not backing down the face an overwhelming foe.

Comeuppance awaits, one party or the other. Some people fight for the underdog but in this case which is which?

Neither IMO.

In this case the plaintiff is the underdog, fighting a massive media conglomerate.
A defendent who remains free to denigrate the plaintiff at will every day in their world wide media organization.

Does the DM have equal scrutiny of their reporters contacts and etc. during the letter getting time?
