Melissa Ann McAbee was last seen in the Lake Bowen area of Spartanburg County, SC on January 16th, 1991. She worked at the Torch Club in Tryon NC during the time she went missing. Also, certain this has been reviewed but wouldn't be doing my due diligence without mentioning it. There is a lady of the same name (with add-on of Wright) who passed in 2020. She does bear some resemblance to the 2nd photo above, and I only bring it to attention because while she lived in Easley, SC she was buried in Spartanburg. I don't want to post that link here because it could draw attention to someone of the same name and same geo-similarity that is Not the same individual. You can find it on a google search with a Find A Grave link.

Circumstances of Disappearance​

Melissa was last seen leaving her sister's home with her ex-boyfriend. Melissa stated that she was working at GJ's in Inman and she and some of the dancers were going to Atlanta and she would be back in two weeks. After two weeks, Melissa's sister called GJ's and was told that they had never heard of her and that none of their girls had gone to Atlanta. Melissa has not been seen or heard from since her disappearance.
