On June 30, 1975 Melodie Stankiewicz, age 27, of Cambridge, MA, was found stabbed to death and floating in Captain's Pond in Salem, NH.

There is nothing I find on the weblink regarding last seen circumstances (or anything). Having said that, providing a small clip of a much larger article (The Boston Globe/Thu, Jun 09, 1977 ·Page 3).

The same article indicated that 4 other females who were sex-workers in what is referred to as "The Combat Zone" were also last seen leaving the 663 Lounge. LE had made the connection and there was conversation about the possibility of a serial killer. I'm not posting all of the 1977 articles, as I find none of the other females on the NH site, however, they are all mentioned in a 2008 Boston Globe article which may imply they remain as unsolved.
