Mercury and Mascara!

  • #21
Many people have an alarming amount of mercury in their bodies; but the largest source of that comes from the water we drink, and the food we eat, especially fish in the lakes and oceans.

The mercury is coming directly from pollution from coal-fired plants, auto emimssions, etc. It's in our air, it's in the rain, it's in our water.

That's why pregnant women are cautioned not to eat much fish now.

Can you absorb mercury from what's on your eyelashes? I don't know. They certainly should take it out, but is it on eyeliner too?

Thermesol is a form of mercury that leaves the body very quickly, from what I have read. Other forms of mercury are not as readily excreted.

I would love to read where you found that info, because I thought otherwise about mercury attaching to certain organs. That is why the celation process made me nervous as it could move the merc around to a new part of the body that it had not touched before.

Repeating a post is a classic sign of poisoning......;)

Has anyone else had their hair tested to see just how many foreign elements
are in their body? I apparently pop a nickel every now and then because that was also on the high side. Aluminum - also high - but that is in toothpaste and anti-perspirants, so I knew how that one got into my system,
but nickel?! Still haven't figured that one out, but it has only been two years since I was tested, so on and on on-line I go.

I do enjoy the irony that out of everyone surrounding me growing up down here in the Small Town South, I was the stand-out that loved Rock & Roll, so it is fitting that I am the only one ate up with Heavy Metal! :boohoo:

Is having your hair tested for all that expensive? I've always wanted to do mine and my children's...

Here's an interesting link about nickel and how it might get inside our body:

Mine was around two-hundred dollars and worth every nickel......;) As was the link, lots of mind-boggling goodies to soak in.

Do we have any posters there in Minnesota that will be willing to ship us what we need until our own States follow their example?!

marthatex-- ohhhh yes, cancer-- that's a big one. just for the record, ever since there have been accessible alternative to the mainstream commercial products.. that DON'T have all the toxic crap in them.. i have been buying them. i haven't bought a big-name brand skin care product, toothpaste, etc.. in over 15 years. thank god now we have a dazzling array of other choices! but the catch is.. now everyone is labelling their stuff 'all-natural'. and even 'organic' (thanks to big food corporations lobbying for the rights to be able to do that, to cash in on the organic market...) but it doesn't necessarily mean it is. labelling is deceptive. the bottom line is, most of the stuff you find in the regular stores.. i don't trust. you have to go to a health food store (or order online) to find good products, made by small companies (or sometimes big ones) with integrity. you have to READ LABELS and know that the stuff is! if you don't recognize the name or can't pronounce it (or if it has a lot of x's & y's in it), chances are it's some chemical you don't need to be putting into your body. if it doesn't smell like something natural and edible, i won't put it on by body.
