It is actually a lot easier to go down since he can just climb out, hang and drop down. He is 6 feet tall, add 2 feet for his arms and I believe the window was 10 or 12 feet high, so I come to a drop of 2 or 4 feet. Easy.
But could he get to that room without being seen? Maybe MK came out of her room and met him heading back toward the window, and a struggle ensued....

You know, I think it's healthy to have people with different viewpoints here, because it does help a person to not settle into "group think." Also, legitimate challenges to the evidence brings about a more well rounded view of the evidence.

I just hope we can stick hard to the facts as much as possible.
Where are we going wrong with the facts now?:waitasec:

True. But it seems a very extreme way to silence someone.....With Guede, I had always assumed there was a sexual motive, due to his own words....

Right, so is attempted theft too. Couldn't he just say it wasn't him if police came to him later? Couldn't he just say Meredith is mistaken? After all, there was zero evidence of him entering thru the window.
I also believe there was a sexual motive at least for him... but I don't know for sure about the other two.

I believe there were smears in Meredith's room.

Who said anything about them 'cleaning up their own dna'??? I thought we were talking fingerprints and footprints.
I always wondered where Rudy stepped in blood. He left his prints on the pillow case but where is his shoe print in blood?

Well, if his was sexual, and theirs was anger over money, how did they all somehow get in on it? The Massei report makes a very poor explanation, to my thinking.....Whether the convictions stand or are overturned, I do not think anyone on either side will ever change their minds...

That is what is so frustrating regarding the whole case IMO... nobody seems to ever change their minds.

I think it is because there seems to be a mindset which sees AK and RS there, and another that does not. And then the evidence or lack of is interpreted from there. I wonder if it could be possible to find someone who knew NOTHING of the case, had zero interest, and write it up for them, and see what they said? I guess this is the purpose of Hellman, the independent experts, and the jury.

Yes, how does a boy from a well-off family and a girl with $4,000 in her bank account, both of whom are sexin each other every night for a week, suddenly decide to take the night off to participate, with a man at least one of them had never even seen before, in a prank, sex game, argument over hygiene to help RG rape MK and walk off with only 100 euros each?

Not making too much sense.....

Well IMO if that is how you feel, you have to ask yourself was he supposidly breaking into the cottage to assault Meredith... or to steal since being a petty thief is mentioned so often. He was not known as violent either, so why would he need to kill her if she just caught him breaking in? He hadn't taken anything. He hadn't assaulted her at all at that point. Just asking.

Didn't AK have just as much to lose with a blown prank or an escalated fight- the cottage stay/school/living away from home/etc? All that would be gone?

Right, where does the row over money come in? Rudy is the one who always needed and stole money--- he was facing eviction at the time, and likely overheard about the collection of rent money. It is as old as the hills, the local thief who looks for the envelope. First it was a sex game, then a fight over money and a sex staging. Knox and Sollecito had money, sex, and eachother. Knox was moving in with RS. so why such anger, over a girl she knew only a matter of weeks??

How would RG know about the collected rent money?

Could AK and RS needed immediate cash for drugs? IIRC his allowance was gone and AK hadn't been paid for work yet. AK would have known exactly where the money was kept IMO. RG claimed Meredith found her money missing and blamed AK. What is taken as truth from him is cherry-picked IMO according to who is doing the arguing.

Look at this. At minute 156, the guy takes off his own glasses and is holding them with his gloves. Wonder if HE picked up or touched the bra clasp.

http://www.oggi.it/video/notizie/20...non-c’e-poi-c’e-–-il-video-integrale-parte-3/

Look at all the things they touch which must have MK's DNA all over it. Her clothes, namely. Hope they didn't then collect or find things with DNA mixtures off touching things like her old shoes. Oh, I think those are the shoes she was said to have worn that night. Pumas. If so, they bottoms are completely clean.

Just looking at these people work, I can't help BUT think of all the missing evidence, because they are just looking at things and making choices, walking around with things, displaying things as if they are helping MK move, not solve a crime. And, they also keep touching their own masks.

In the dark? While MK might well be dialing the cops?

RG didn't have your advantage of knowing exactly how high the window was.

And all he needed to do was land wrong on a rock or something and sprain his ankle to make sure he would be caught.

I have to call you on this point then:

What is 'preposterous' about them cleaning/wiping footprints or fingerprints?

There were smudges and smears in Meredith's room. There were blood soaked towels. There were barefoot luminol prints in the hallway and at least bloody footprints leading up to the partial bathmat bare print that had to have been cleaned/wiped at some point.

So AK and RS cleaned up their own prints while leaving those of RG? This is simply not a reasonable inference, IMO.

Was AK a print expert, too, and able to pick out her own prints and those of RS from those of RG?

Or did they take time while gang-raping and killing MK to keep track who made each foot and fingerprint?

Please don't make me look for a link. But there have been other crimes where a burglar, interrupted by a screaming resident, panicked and lashed out.

The first of the month was approaching, and not hard to figure out that the rents were being collected. Filomena collected the rents and her room was tossed.

Why would AK not go into her 4K account for $$$? I agree there may be some truth in what Guede recounted...

  • #958
It depends a lot on where the rent money was actually being kept. Was it in her purse? Or somewhere in the room?

If it was just in her purse then there is no reason to assume that RG knew she had it with her, since he could have gone for her bag after the attack automatically. It would be a sensible place to look for things to take - bank cards, keys, phone etc. Money would have been a bonus.

The police were initially looking for a male criminal type from Perugia. Had AK and RS gone away for the weekend, and Guede been caught early, I wonder if the 3 on 1 attack theory would ever have come into being?
