She left when the polish girl came by to cancel her appointment with Raffaele. IMO she was seen on CCTV but that never made it into evidence unfortunately. According to Rudy, they were fighting from the start but that is anybody's guess.
You mean, Knox and Kercher were fighting from the start? Why do you believe Guede is telling the truth, and what was his reason for only mentioning Knox and Sollecito after the media spoke of them? Why did the CCTV not make it into evidence, what was wrong with it???

For some reason, the video clip showing Meredith returning home had the camera time clipped from the image. Here is a frame from the original video that does show the timestamp.

picture.php

From cell phone times and images taken the next day, we know the camera clock is 10 to 12 minutes slow. The prosecution claimed it was 10 minutes fast, but at that time Meredith was still with her English friends and Amanda was talking Jovana Popovic at Raffaele's place.

The person in this photo is almost certainly Meredith. The 9:01 to 9:03 time is right for a walk from where she left her friend Sophie about 5 minutes before 9 pm. Also, the only reason to cross the street here is to go to the cottage. Walking past the cottage driveway a pedestrian would have to walk in the traffic lane with no place to go if a car came along.

Thanks for all this. Question: Why does it appear she is wearing a pale, hooded jacket? I always heard she wore a navy blue addidas jacket...

Why do you think she said PL instead of Rudy? What do you think occurred when the 3 arrived separately? :waitasec:
<modsnip>. You don't implicate your partner in crime. That would be rather stupid. She said Patrick because that is what came up when they discussed her text messages on her phone. She was looking to buy time to think of a way out of the mess her boyfriend had got her in.

What exactly happened I don't know of course. MK called her mother at 8:56pm but didn't continue this call and never called her mother back. This means IMO that she wasn't home alone. RG and AK were already there.

After RS arrived they probably went on the balcony smoking which irritated MK (the balcony is right across from her bedroom and she probably got cold therefore she was wearing the sweatshirt). A witness heard a loud argument and scream from that direction. The attack was for 'fun'. It wasn't fun of course and I don't know what exactly was the idea. They took her phones first. The murder wasn't planned and was an 'accident' which happened during the struggle. The "what the f*** have you done!" from RG's diary seems genuine to me.

Thanks. So you think Meredith was calling her mother while crossing the streets? And the interrupted phonecall is not a sign that Rudy attacked her when she came in?

What context is Sollecito's quote in? what is he conveying when he says this?

It is from Rudy's diary when he bumps into the 'unknown Italian' man. I am just using it as an indication that the murder came as a shock to him. So nothing was premeditated.

I have now changed my mind....... it was Halloween, Amanda would more than likely be with her boyfriend..... Why would they go back to her place if they wanted to be alone when they could go back to his place where they would be insured privacy.
Lol...you sound like Curatolo ;)

I'm anxiously awaiting this verdict. I can only imagine how it feels for people personally involved in the case.

Ah, but this is Rudy, whom we all believe is the killer. I was hoping for something genuine from Sollectio...

I'd like to know what an alleged media campaign creating awareness of Amanda and Raf's situation has to do with the C&V report crumbling the forensics evidence, eyewitnesses who can't get their stories straight, lack of motive, and how arguing she is a she-devil or witch is considered better or relevant.

I believe this is an effect of the camera. I notice this all the time on shows that I work on where we have similar black and white security-type cameras set up around locations where we're shooting. It inverses the color of clothing and skin in order to make them more visible in low lighting.

Did AK and RS give their closing statements? I'm not seeing anything about what they had to say. Or did they decide not to say anything? Or is it happening Monday?

The call to Meredith's mother was in the cell phone memory but it never connected to a cell tower. The most reasonable explanation is that she attempted to call her mother right after parting company with Sophie. At that time, Meredith would have been walking down via Roscetto, a narrow medieval alley lined with stone buildings. Walking toward the camera in this Google Street view. It was just a bad spot for cell phones.

This is what I am hoping, with all my might, will preclude the whole "million dollar PR campaign" rant.

Ah, ok---so when S. spoke of Amanda caught on cctv with white clothing on, it would actually show up as dark?:waitasec:

Basically, I'm saying you can't trust colors on these cameras. They're designed to make people stand out by inverting dark colors.

Nov 1st:
5:45 pm, Amanda and Raffaelle are home together, as seen by Popovic.

6:27 pm. Amanda and Raf start watching Amelie
8:18 pm: Amanda asked not to come into work via text.
8:35 pm: Amanda texts boss back. Turns off her phone sometime after.
8:42 pm: Raff talks to his father on his cell phone. Last cell phone confirmation for the night.
Sometine around this time Raffaelle is informed he does not have to go drop off the suticase that night.
8:56 pm. Meredith attempts to call her mother. Does not have a conversation with her. She would be approaching her cottage alone at this time, or at the cottage.
9:10 pm: the movie Amelie is over.
10 pm: Meredith's phone makes a failed attempt to auto-dial her bank. The cell phone tower weakly covers the cottage.
10:13 pm: Data came through to the phone and was deleted before opening.

12:10 am Nov 2nd: Meredith's cell phone is in the garden

2 am: Rudy is seen dancing at the Domus

5:30 am to 11am: Raffaelle definitively at his place.

12:07-12:20 pm: Amanda is at Raffaelle's, and calls both Meredith and Filomena several times.
12:34 pm: Amanda is at the cottage, with Raffaelle. More phone calls to Filomena and Meredith.
12:51 pm: Raffaelle calls the police
12:54 pm: Raffaelle calls the police again.

The police arrive.

1:24 pm: Amanda calls her mother, tells her that Meredith is dead.
3:31 pm: Amanda and Raf are both at the police station.

Sherlockh,

In the previous thread you wrote, "On Monday, the verdicts will be confirmed and if you are really honest then you have to admit that the 'fruit juice' theories never really made much sense to begin with." I am not sure who (if anyone) suggested fruit juice theories. The forensic police should have used a confirmatory blood test. Period. If you think that confirmatory tests are not necessary, please provide a citation from the relevant forensic literature.
