snipped...A bottle that washed ashore off a coastal Maine island with a message from a three-year-old girl has been reunited with its owner after drifting 12 years at sea.

Volunteers picking up trash on Tibbett Island off South Addison say the plastic bottle had floated down the coast from Canada and was only saved from being destroyed when it made a peculiar sound.
