Great! This will be the first time I've gotten to see any of Halley's Comet, which, during its last well-publicized-beforehand foray into our field of vision, not only was not perceptible to the naked eye, but also looked like an out-of-focus Q-tip when viewed with binoculars.

I'm excited but fairly sure it will be cloudy and raining tonight...everytime something really cool is going to be in the night's sky... it does, :(

Is this tonight or was it last night/this morning?

The annual Eta Aquarid meteor shower will peak early tomorrow morning (May 6)

I hope it's tonight, I want to see it!

Can anybody explain this Halleys Comet is supposed to come around every 76 yrs. but yet in 1986 they say it was present. As a matter of fact I think I remember looking at it through a telescope. So how come it's present in 2011, when they said we wouldn't see it again until approx. 2062?

I think the very peak was this morning (I didn't see this article until today, however) but the meteors will continues over several days, so you will still see quite a few tonight and over the weekend.
