Meter Reader (RK) Transfered for his own safety

Listened to tape again. Dispatcher said "Hopespring Drive where I grew up -lived. [/I]

I would debate that. It sounds to me like he stumbles on a word before "live".

"...Hopespring where I (unintelligible) live..."

It's almost as if he says "where I drat live", but that doesn't make much sense.

ETA: confusing bloggers and posters is a pet peeve of mine. It would be the same as calling readers of books authors.

I think calling critics authors would be a closer analogy, because posting is a form of writing. Posters are commenting on people's work and offering opinions. Reading is outwardly more of a passive pursuit.

Otherwise, I agree-- either some media outlets think a public who can handle the concept of blogging can't grasp this distinction, or they don't understand it themselves.

I can see why JB might want to do it, but why BC did it is beyond me.

Obvious to all of us, JB will be trying to discredit lots of people & "throwing them under the bus"...RK, RM, and on and on. BC doing it is an entirely different thing, and I wouldn't think it would be to the advantage of himself, or his clients.

I've been searching my posts because I knew someone had asked me this question before, and it was actually you!

From January 25th... http://www.websleuths.com/forums/showthread.php?p=3218823&highlight=geraldo#post3218823

Perhaps if the Leo who went out the first time or even the second time did his job and looked maybe RK would not be going thu this. IMO RK having to keep calling and the time span is what started alot of people talking. Before Flo that area should have been searched by Le.Usually when there is a missing child Le searches the area around the neighborhood first.KC is really the one to blame she waited 31 days before letting anyone know Caylee was missing. I am glad RK got a raise he deserves it.

WFTV...

This is a variation. If there were no vacancy or he weren't qualified, would the county have appointed him an inside position for his safety?

ETA: Compare to the WESH headline...

Hhmmm... Thanks Hot Dogs, We have to consider each source. It sounds plausable that he saw a position available and applied for it because he wanted to get out of the public eye. While his att. is trying to show us what he has been dealing with since discovering Caylee. One source is just more sansationalized.imo we do not know if LE/SA would have given him a new position because we have not heard from them, at least i have not seen anything from LE. Has anyone else?

I think LE not checking properly makes LE look bad, not RK. I think it was BC that made RK look bad. When a lawyer goes on national tv and effectively calls someone a liar, most people think the lawyer is not making it up. With LP, I think everyone takes him with a grain of salt....his statements do not carry the same impact with the community as a lawyer stating he knows more funky information will be coming out about him and that he has a credible witness to RK being in the area other than what he told police.

No, where I drat live makes no sense, but where I grew up-lived makes sense. Perhaps he thought it would sound better to substitute lived for grew up- makes him sound more adult

At any rate, my point is that the dispatcher is the one talking, not the supervisor. Just trying to prevent a misunderstanding about what is going on, and it seems very likely that this is the source of the belief/myth/rumor that the supervisor lives in that neighborhood. I would be happy to see any other possibility of why this story has been occasionally repeated, though.

Please tell us where this information comes from. AFAIK, there is no indication that the supervisor lives in that neighborhood. I have frequently seen another poster allege that , but have seen no link. Please let us know how you know this. Thanks!

Well I am reading that you believe the 911 call discounts the supervisor/neighbor theory.

The information I was going on is based on two things. One, a quote from LP on NG, (here's the transcript):

NG: Do you believe the meter reader contacted the family?

LP: I think he contacted his supervisor, Scott, who lives right down the road from the Anthonys.

NG: I couldn't hear you. Contacted the supervisor, what?

LP: I think that he`s contacted and talked about it to his supervisor in August. The supervisor, Scott, lives right down the street from the Anthonys on Hopespring. And he was also back out there not only on November but he was also back out there the last weekend of August, the 29th or the 30th. The meter reader was out there in that...

NG: Here`s video of the meter reader. So you think it`s possible he contacted his supervisor, who may have contacted the family?

LP: I think he talked to the supervisor, and I think the supervisor knows the Anthonys, yes.

The second piece of information comes from my own review of the people who live on Hopespring Drive, finding a Scott A. and a Scott S., and then googling both to see if I could find out something about where they worked. Once I figured out which one it was, I googled some more for confirmation that he did in fact still live on Hopespring, which he does.

I am not sure this information is quite ready for the Mythbusters Thread :) but I do feel confident that Scott, the supervisor, does live on Hopespring Drive.

Thought I would add in as an aside, the evidence LP gives to back up his claims so far has to do with the fact that the PIs video shows them searching around the wrong set of pavers, and LP's personal source (maybe legit, maybe in his own head?) which says MR was at the same wrong set of pavers in August. It has been noted that the white board and silver metallic vinyl bag like a pool cover MR reported in August were not found at the crime scene, and if MR was in fact 150 feet away at the other pavers, then it (kinda) follows that MR and the PIs were both given the same, incorrect location. This is the root of what LP has revealed so far.

Are we sure they were 150 feet away though? That's not what the SAs were whispering in Court, plus at the beginning, when BC was claiming it had to do with the KIO teen hangout tip, he said the tape could prove the body wasn't there before. How could it prove that if it's 150 feet away?

I'm not sure they were 150 feet away, no. I was hoping when I started this thread that people would help me ascertain whether MR was in the same spot in December that he was in August, but I didn't really find out much. LP was sure enough about it to risk NG sending him to "time out" though, so that says something. :D

I think we could determine from the PIs video how close they were. I am not sure we can determine from the MR's various descriptions where he was.

Do you have the link where BC called RK a liar ? I missed seeing that. While I do agree it makes LE look bad , IMO it seemed after media reported how many times RK called Le and the tipline line that is when the public started questioning his honesty. If you go back to when That story broke you will see alot of poster started wondering what was going on.

I actually posted it, but it's gone now! It was on Geraldo on the 17th...said he knew there were more "funky information" to come out about RK and that he had a credible witness who put RK there between the dates he told police. I think the link is in the links thread.

So Bunny, he didn't say anything remotely like you claimed you said he said. You might have inferred it, but he certainly didn't say it.

Thank You, I missed it.

You must have missed my post 93. I also answered the same question for you and found you the link on the 25th of January.

So there was more "funky information" to come out about RK. The point is that BC didn't call him a liar nor did he cast suspicion on him and he certainly did not accuse him of being part of a "daisy chain" and obstructing justice.

I have never used the words "daisy chain" in any post I've ever made here.

No one is attacking your integrity, I am questioning your information. You did say that BC called him a liar and cast suspicion on him and that is not factual.
