Dr. Lillian Glass gives her opinion on whether TH is being deceptive.

Honestly, I am still bothered by TH's story. I don't think we are getting the true account of what happened over there.

Great link and many comments on the article. I picked up on the tongueing, lip licking and chewing, but always miss the shrugging. The one comment on the blood was very telling. It's true, if he was shot in the head...it would be bleeding profusely, and if she was in the water as she stated, trying to move him around and get him on the jet ski, there should be blood residue all over her hair, life vest and whatever clothing she had on, including the setting of her rings, if she had any on. Also, he should have been face up if he indeed did have a floating device on.

Not to be graphic or insensitve, but if he was shot in the back of the head the exit wound may be larger (very), depending on the type of ammo and weapon used. So her pointing to his frontal lobe region wouldn't mean anything.

I'm still on the fence over what really happened to David. I hate that I even question whether Tiffany is telling the truth, or the "whole" truth.

The video clip with Matt Lauer that was posted up-thread from this morning: I still can't get over how composed, well rested she looks. But it really struck me as "odd" at the end, when David's mother started talking and trying to maintain her composure. It was so heartfelt and heart-broken. Yet Tiffany was still able to maintain her composure. Maybe she licked her lips or there was a little mouth movement, but not much. I know the whole "there's not a playbook for grief" but I expected to see her soften a little with the mother. Then the mother goes to grab Tiffany's hand/wrist near the very end. It's hard to tell under the news station headline banner at the bottom...but it appeared to me that the mother's hand remained on her wrist/maybe part of her hand...that Tiffany didn't change her grasp to hold the poor mother's hand in a loving manner. Just seemed cold/distant to me.

JMO.

Again, I will feel bad for being critical/suspicious of Tiffany if she is truly not involved in whatever happened to David. But at this point, I won't be surprised if she is. I don't like even thinking that. I hope he is found.

Wow, Mexican authorities have confirmed that they are now searching for two suspects. As of 2:15 p.m. EDT CNN is reporting this. Will we ever get straight answers from the Mexican authorities? They are quoting yet a different spokesman for the state attorney general:

http://www.cnn.com/2010/CRIME/10/11/texas.missing.american.seach/index.html?hpt=T2

I get the feeling this case is going to be a very ugly mess. :(

I think both sides just want it to go away....and if the comments in Dr. Glass's article is true of what Tiffany stated about this being "done with" I think she does too. jmo

http://www.themonitor.com/news/mexican-43489-officials-reports.html

Ruben Dario Rios Lopez, a spokesman for the state attorney general’s office in Tamaulipas, known by its Spanish designation PGJ-Tamaulipas, denied that Mexican authorities had identified any suspects and said his office would have been informed if that were true.

“Neither the (Tamaulipas) attorney general’s office nor the personnel working in this investigation have named any suspects,” he said in Spanish. We (the state attorney general’s office) did not release that information. We do not know where it came from, or how it came out, and why those names appeared in (El Universal).”

Correct! The story about the "alleged 2 Mexican suspects" is a fable and yet another made up media story. Very, very shoddy.

I can't imagine what all of this is doing to David's family - these poor people can't know what to believe at this stage and they are the true victims in all of this mess. If any of David's family happen to read here then please know that I am very sorry you are having to go through this.

You can't believe 90% of what comes out of Mexico. They will not tell you the truth, unless they're able to recover David's body.

The report I heard about the two suspects, was given by a representative of the authorities across the border in the town in question. They also said the sheriff or whatever they call him, 'will not be giving any news conferences as he's in fear of his life.'

People, they've MURDERED ELEVEN mayors in Mexico since January 2010. What's to stop them from killing the local sheriff?

Answer: Nothing.

I wish this incident didn't occur at all. However, since it did, I REALLY wish it would've occurred on US soil so at least something (a hell of a lot more than what is being done now) would be done to get justice, investigate properly, etc.

The fact this happened in Mexico is just about worst case scenario. I'm APPALLED at how Mexican authorities are handling this. Whether anyone believes Tiffany or not..this is just horrible.

This video shows Tiffany standing in the garage showing her jetski and lifevest to the reporter. The sheriff has stated that blood on the vest corroborates Tiffany's story, so why did they give it back to her? Wouldn't the vest and the jetski be kept for evidence?

This sheriff doesn't seem very smart to me. If he is this sloppy with all of his investigations, how do crimes get solved in his county? Do all of the jurrors simply take his word for what he says happened? I don't trust this man at all!

Wow, that is weird! Do you know how long after the crime this video was taken? Getting definitive DNA results from blood traces is a long process, and I wouldn't think the vest would be returned before it was absolutely complete. Testing the jetski for every possible clue would take a while too, though not likely as long as the DNA testing.

IMO, the vest and jet-ski were returned to her after the testing was done. She is not a suspect. Why would the sheriff keep her property?

I doubt the testing on the blood traces is complete, and it wouldn't make any sense to let go of the source of the traces until the testing is complete. Also, with the Mexican authorities also involved, they might well want their own crack at the vest and jetski, with documentation that the items had been held in secure conditions since police first came in contact with them. The alleged crime took place in Mexico, and presumably if it went down anything like TH said, the perps were Mexican nationals. No way are Mexican nationals who committed a crime in Mexico going to be tried here, and given all the political baggage and drug cartel influence on Mexican government and courts, there's no way anybody Mexican national is going to be convicted in Mexico when relevant pieces of evidence were only examined and tested by US authorities and US labs working for US authorities.

I'm starting to see a Storro-type pattern here, where the media is publicly questioning the many details that a "victim" has provided (and re-embellished).

This happens when LE can't speak out, but leaks info that they wouldn't mind others speculating on.

Like in the Storro case, I feel guilty for suspecting a victim. But when the story looks like Swiss cheese, there's either more to it -- or nothing.

My own suspicion is that Tiffany wants it all to go away so she can "get on with her life" (as she stated), because she fears the truth about their rushed visit to the lake, will be uncovered.

Even if she isn't a suspect and the testing has been done?

And as many have pointed out, it didn't happen in Texas. jmo

BBM

Exactly...Texas does not have jurisdiction over Mexico.... The ball is totally in Mexico's court! It's not TH or Texas LE choice on handing/not handling evidence that happened in Mexico!

Um, speaking of which.... I was in & out of the house while headline news was on so I didn't catch it all or names BUT they had a female reporter/correspondent & she was saying something to the affect of.... they would burn dead bodies on the Mexico side.... as in general or previously

I don't put much stock in the tongue/lip-licking, etc. Nervousness as well as many medications can cause dry mouth, and she has reason to be nervous in front of media cameras since she's not accustomed to it, and also has reason to be taking medications to help her cope. Licking lips is about the only way to moisten dry lips so they don't get stuck on dry teeth/gums while you're talking.

Maybe shes vying for her own Reality show... ya NEVER know...
