I'm wondering what is holding up the promised press release. On September 1, JR said there would be updates and a press release by the end of the week. Right on schedule September 3 he posted an update and said his team was working on a press release. It's September 6 and silent. Here's hoping there are some developments about to happen that they are waiting to include in the press release. As of September 4, the promised polygraphs had not happened. There was supposed to be "significant action" against the suspects promised within the next two weeks (by September 17?). The press release was going to "highlight suspicious activities by those who may be protecting their interests." Perhaps it seemed best not to reveal those activities until action had already been taken against the suspects? What's another week or so in a five month case? I'm just antsy, I guess.

Meh... I wouldn't worry about it. He's usually a week or two late on his deadlines.

Found Jenny way down on page 4. I keep checking HFJ for updates, but there's nothing so far. I wonder if he's made any progress? Or even if he's ok!

I know, right?

He may still be in Mexico. Or home. Or in jail. Or buried.

Are you kidding JR?? Where is your PR???? :gaah:

JR just responded "Nothing yet, thanks" to someone asking if there is news. I suspect his team thought better of the press release revealing protection of people involved. It was a stupid idea anyway when you're involved in sensitive negotiations, especially in a foreign country.

I do understand JR's frustration, but I have to wonder whether his sharp public criticism from the very beginning of everyone from the U.S. government to Oaxaca LE to the Mexican government to Corona didn't cost him the good will he needed in order to get what he wanted...information about Jenny. I honestly think he could have kept Jenny's disappearance in the press in a positive way without potentially offending those whose help he needed. It's called self-discipline and diplomacy in service of a cause greater than your personal feelings. JMO

I certainly hope he gets some answers soon.

"Within two weeks" from 9/3 (the date of JR's post on HFJ) will be the end of this week for the promised "significant action against the suspected individuals in the case". This would be a very pivotal advancement, so I hope it happens, to finally move the case closer to the point where he can find Jenny. Progress has been stuck at this same point for so long...months, I think.

I was also just thinking about that billboard in Juchitan. I wonder how many calls came in of potential leads or if there were even ones confirming what they believe of her movements so far. I hope putting it up proved helpful to him.

Standing by with you all, with hope, that this will be the week........

JR just replied to a question about the press release. He said he's having it professionally done and is waiting for the expert to work on it.

Great job. Now I wonder if Jr lawyer knows the name of the 2 drivers and where they live?

And did his p.i snoop around their homes to search for evidence. Especially since the p.i found the notebook in 2 seconds.

But just like before. I think Jr is in this for Corona/litigation purposes and not to actually find out more about his suspects.

But idk.

The "significant action" against the suspects that JR was "promised" would happen within two weeks has not happened AFAIK. I assume the two weeks started with his post Sept. 3 and should be up today or tomorrow. It seems that promises come easily but aren't kept. Here's hoping something happens soon.

I love Jenny and hope she is okay. But idk. Because Jr acts like he is talking to the Mexican president and is guaranteed answers. But there are tons of foreigners abducted in mexico with no help. So why would the Mexican police cater to JR this much with promises of making Jenny their sole case.

Especially since she is not a prominent person nor public figure in their eyes.

Why is he not updating those of us on the HFJ page without someone questioning him first!!

Maybe he's frustrated about the delays too. :dunno: I wish someone would ask him about whether the "significant action" against the suspects has happened yet.

And I wonder whatever happened to his co-administrator CN. She's been very quiet.

This case is really giving me a heavy heart. It's just so sad at so many levels.

JR posted, apologizing for his silence. He's been waiting for news to post. Police did not come through as promised. The professional has not come through with the press release either, so it sounds like JR will be working on it himself. I do feel for him. This has to be frustrating and depressing. Does no one keep their word?

It sure does look like it's impossible for him to get anywhere with his current strategy... I feel sorry for him, but I also think he might want to reconsider how to go about this. It's obvious by now that all he gets from Mexican police, prosecutors, Corona etc etc are empty promises. I think for anything to happen he might want to ask for help from someone higher up, in my opinion working with the Chinese authorities would be the obvious choice, since Jenny is a Chinese citizen. A single person from a third country with a local PI and a lawyer simply doesn't have leverage to get anything done here.
My husband and I have different nationalities. If he, God forbid, were to go missing in a third country, I would seek help from the authorities of his home country, that would be the very first thing I would do!! JMHO
