Don’t know his name. Only know about him what I’ve been told. But, my intuition is correct 99% of time...I considered him a person of interest with the first phone call I had with someone close to her.
WHY why why?

Is there any “proof” she actually made it to the cabin? She may have had intentions of going there but did she ever reach out to any friends or her son to say hey I made it, I’m here at the cabin?

We do not know what the help call was . It could have been a disguised voice whispering help from a person up north who may have helped somebody set up a alibi and she was actually missing days before.
Has this happened before? I find it unlikely. Does the friend who was called suspect anything of the sort? At least two people would have to be involved and the person covering up for the perp would be taking a risk of being caught. The police were there quite fast. Maybe the evidence of foul play was fresh.

It's his FB, pleading for help finding his mom.
I posted on her sisters site to join us here. She gave a like to my comment. I again ask instead of trying to save info for a successful trial- should the police put the life of the missing-who could be in a box underground running out of air somewhere- first and release any info such as video or names of person of interest - and maybe getting a "hey I saw those 2 on.....but a car and a pic of the person of interest who should be a suspect by now would hurt how....their case and record of wins in court?

How far from the family cabin is the next nearest cabin/house? If there had been an argument or struggle, are their neighbors close enough to have heard/seen something? Presumably, residents of the area have been interviewed by LE, so it's possible that there are "witnesses" to some type of domestic disturbance.

do we know what the bf drives?

Does anyone know the familial relationship of the cabin owner and victim?
I've looked at records for what I believe to be the address.
What vehicle does the B/F drive? Son? Victim?

About a year ago a friend of mine called me crying. Her estranged husband had followed her to a friend's property where she was housesitting. He was banging on the door and yelling. For whatever reason she called me instead of 911. I hung up on her and called the police. They got there quick and he took off. My point is that in high stress situations people don't always think clearly.

I too think she called the friend because it was her boyfriend..
a long time ago I was being beaten by my significant other and I got away and called a mutual friend to help- there was a block in my brain that told me 911 was too serious.. I knew the person so well and knew she wouldn’t kill me...Of COURSE in retrospect I should have called police but in my mind, emotionally I suppose, I was confused and still in denial that a loved one would be able to do something so terrible... You call because you’re in trouble and need help but you don’t call 911 because that’s admitting to yourself in that moment that you might be about to be murdered by the one that’s supposed to love you the most...
My theory as of now is that bf worked at condo with son and left late in the evening to drive up there and hurt her? and came back in time in the morning so the son never had reason to question that he left... JMO

Son never said he was with boyfriend only when boyfriend returned and why he said he returned. Of course cops asked boyfriend whereabouts but this is wide open with possibilities even gone girl. She is 47 and many women going thru change do strange stuff IMO- I hope she is gone girl. I pray she is gone girl , met Mr right in some bar and ran off.

How often in cases we see here do people who went missing voluntarily
(and are uninjured) leave behind their wallet/purse, cell phone, and vehicle?
Very rarely to never. MOO

Why would she stage all of this, hurting and terrifying her entire family and friends? They’re not even married so it would have been much easier to dump bf and start relationship with new love... It’s offensive to imply menopause hormones triggered her to do something so ridiculous and impulsive..

...no media link for this- since social media prohibited here .... but interesting comments on media link upnorth or upnorth live

Thanks. Read all the comments. There is probably a report since LE was contacted.

<modsnip: quoted post was removed>

<modsnip> ... how did she get by? She didn't appear to have a job, if she's not wealthy she can't be retired, and she doesn't have a husband to support her, so where does she get money? Welfare maybe? I know she has a cabin and a condo that is being renovated, which seems like a lot for someone with no income.

I appreciate this response, and I do appreciate the theory in a way since it would be a much better outcome than what seems to actually be happening right now, even if it is a stretch we can hope? But on the other hand let’s hope LE isn’t approaching this case that way lol
