Back on Oct 2019 Alasia went missing briefly after she was involved in an incident where a man hit her with his truck. She was located shortly afterwards. The video (*Graphic warning - disturbing but not gory*) embedded in the first link below shows the incident. Apparently Alasia was (not sure if she still is) battling a three-year addiction to heroin and other drugs. Her mom and sister gave an interview where they talk about her graduating early, attending nursing school, then getting hooked up w/ a guy "who got her into heroin and everything else". She attempted rehab multiple times and was homeless at the time. Again, I haven't found any updates regarding her situation in 2021, but it doesn't sound promising to me. I hope they can find her soon. :(

Family searching for 23-year-old Detroit woman missing since March 11

May 13 2021
Hill went missing on March 11 on Hanover Avenue near West Grand Boulevard in Detroit.

Family members made a plea for any information that will lead to finding her.

“To any individual who may know her whereabouts and is afraid to speak up, think about her children. She has two son that miss her dearly. They’ve been trying to call her, and they want to see their mother again. I want to see my daughter again,” said Hill’s mother Charisma Carucci.

Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of $4,500 for information that leads to finding the 23-year-old. Anonymous tips can be submitted by calling 800-Speak Up.

Family worried for safety of Alasia Hill, a Detroit mother of two missing since March (nbcnews.com)
[...]

Alasia’s mother, CC, told Dateline she last saw her daughter on Wednesday, March 10, 2021, in the 2700 block of East Grand Boulevard in Detroit. They were at a doctor’s appointment to have the stitches removed from Alasia’s hand amputation.

CC explained that Alasia had spent most of February in the hospital due to an infection that led to a medically-induced coma. While in the coma, she suffered complications and the decision was made to amputate her hand.

After the appointment to remove the stitches, Alasia went home with her boyfriend, and called her mother that evening to let her know how she was doing.

[...]

When there was no call from Alasia the next day, her mother called her boyfriend, MB. She explained that since Alasia didn’t have her own phone, she used his. When CC spoke to Marlon, she says he told her Alasia had left and that he didn’t know where she had gone.

MB told Dateline it was the morning of March 11 when Alasia walked out of the house without any explanation of where she was going, despite him asking. He said he followed her, but eventually let her be and returned home.

“It’s not the first time she’s run off like this, you know,” MB told Dateline. “So I stopped following her… figured she’d be back. But she’s never been gone this long.”

"Not physically fit" is one of the oddest characteristics of a missing person I've seen. Do you suppose her mom meant 'not healthy enough to leave the hospital'?

That stood out to me as odd also.
Combined with the amputation of her right hand.

Alasia Hill, 23, was last seen by her mother on March 10, 2021, at a doctor’s appointment in the 2700 block of East Grand Boulevard in Detroit, Michigan. Charisma Carucci told Dateline that her daughter had spent most of February in the hospital due to an infection that led to a medically-induced coma. While in the coma, Alasia suffered complications and the decision was made to amputate her hand. After the appointment to remove the stitches, Alasia went home with her boyfriend, and called her mother that evening to let her know how she was doing. But when there was no call the next day, Charisma called Alasia’s boyfriend, Marlon Billingslea. She explained that since Alasia didn’t have her own phone, she used his. When Charisma spoke to Marlon, she says he told her Alasia had left and that he didn’t know where she had gone. Marlon told Dateline it was the morning of March 11 when Alasia walked out of the house without any explanation of where she was going, despite him asking. He said he followed her, but eventually let her be and returned home. Alasia is described by family as bright and kind, someone who showed a lot of promise just a few years ago when she graduated a year early from high school and enrolled in a nursing program at a local college. But she hit a rough patch in life and now her mother is afraid her disappearance means she’s in danger. Officer H. Mackson of the Detroit Police Department told Dateline in May that they continue to follow up on any leads or tips that come in, but nothing has led them to Alasia. She stressed that at that point, they had no reason to believe foul play is involved, but encouraged anyone with information to call the police. Alasia is described as being 5’4” inches tall and weighing about 135 lbs. She has a light complexion, the name “Kayden” tattooed on her forearm and her right hand is amputated. She was last seen wearing a tan jogging outfit and beige glittery UGG boots. If you have any information on Alasia’s whereabouts call the Detroit Police Department’s Sixth Precinct’s Investigative Unit at 313-596-5640. To remain anonymous, tipsters can call Crime Stoppers line at 1-800-Speak Up (1-800-773-2587).

Bumping for Alasia.

ETA: I'm curious how Alasia felt about the amputation. Was she very distraught over it? Could this have contributed to her disappearance (emotional/mental health)? Speculation, MOO.
