I was wondering the same thing. Broken into makes me worry. Of course, breaking down and being missing is worrisome as well. MooPolice searching for missing Sanilac County woman and 3-year-old daughter
SABBM:
Tara Sheldon, 31, was last heard from when she was on the phone with her grandfather at approximately 9:45 p.m. Monday, according to Sanilac County Sheriff Gary Biniecki.
Sheldon told her grandfather that her vehicle had been broken into. This occurred at an unknown location, according to the Michigan State Police.

I'm wondering if it's possible that TS told her grandfather her car had broken down vs. being broken into.
JMO.
She has been missing since Jan 12. I wonder why it took so long for this story to hit the news.
When was she reported missing to LE?
Do we know if it was grandpa who reported them missing, or someone else?
It would be odd if TS' grandfather didn't follow up with her after she called him to say her car had been broken into and had told him she'd call him back.
Surely LE will be able to ping TS's phone and get their location, at least at the time of the call.
Did TS tell her grandpa that she had AM with her at the time of the call?
I'm getting a little bit of a weird vibe with this one.
JMO.
I agree. Either there is a lot more to the story and LE knows and it not particularly alarmed. OR they both disappeared and something awful happened and LE is clueless. Either way, a 3 yr old is missing and supposedly the car was broken into. Where is the alarm, searches. Etc?

Does Mom have custody, or do the grandparents?
...O/T, but I've alerted a post to see if a mod can change the thread title to reflect that LE has classified AM as "Endangered Missing." ...
