I'm afraid of what we don't know but I'm sure there is more.

I think Tonya was just as much a victim of this "man" as Amy. Probably more so, if she had been abused by him before.

If Amy was trying in any way to help Tonya leave this man he would have considered her a threat for sure. Probably would have seen it as betrayal by both of them.

Locals, is your ground frozen? snow? how deep?
Ours is in PA.
Digging 5 ft deep graves........diid he have a bulldozer???
thoughts on how long it would take by hand???

OMG. It would take quite a while to shovel by hand. Yes, everything is frozen solid.

And we have what is known as "lake effect snow". Meaning Lake Michigan has its own weather system that dumps waayy more snow on us than seems neccessary. I hate that phrase. I hate hearing it on the news describing our weather. Ugh.

Maybe Tonya and murderer were fighting and he was trying to reconcile a fight.
He wanted Amy there to help him talk to her...
OR maybe Tonya was afraid to talk to him without someone else (Amy) there..

I think an argument with Tonya spiraled out of control and Amy could have been killed because she was there...or even to some degree accidentally.... twhich could explain his reluctance to own that murder.

Maybe or maybe she was to meet him after she knew he had picked up Amy.

Something just doesn't seem right about all of this.

I think there is a lot we do not know.

It sounded like it was a prearranged meeting already set up between him and Tonya.

IMO

Tonya lived with him and the neighbor said that there had been two women in the truck. Tonya's kids and parents also said that she had been at the trailer with him all week...that is why they didn't realize she was missing.

I think the whole meeting up thing was just a big lie on his part...just like him saying he stopped by and nobody was home...and just like him saying that he had stopped by to borrow something.

'roid rage is my guess. Something set him off and those two ladies didn't have a chance, IMO.

Henslee's family brought in a private canine tracking unit, and that unit alerted the sheriff's office to the trailer, Walker said.

Are you kidding me??? Her poor family had to bring in the dogs!!!

I'm glad they did but furious they had to.

The dogs were from Mid Michigan Working Dogs (http://www.midmichiganworkingdogs.com/).

Many states and regions, especially rural areas, rely on organizations like this for specialized services like dogs. Small police and sheriff's departments can't afford the effort, cost, and training time to maintain a K9 unit. Even in Massachusetts, which is a fairly large state, there's only one trained cadaver dog working directly in LE for the entire state. When somebody's missing (for instance, the Alzheimer's patient who wandered away from her home a couple of weeks ago), LE relies on trained volunteer dogs like this.

Thanks Carbuff that helps but I don't understand why LE didn't call them in why did the family have to ?

Makes me think Tonya walked in on whatever he did to Amy, and she was taken out to get rid of witnesses

Or maybe Tonya walked in on the two of them together and took matters into her own hands...

It would explain confessing to only one murder.

Yes October, it would. That is where my mind has gone also. Then, he did to one, what she had done to the other?

Yes, but what made him so angry, and why was Amy there in the first place?

If Tonya 'met up with" Beebe later, it's very possible that Amy could have been already deceased. My guess is Tonya stopped by unannounced or Beebe had no idea she was going to show up, possibly saw blood, a body, Beebe digging a hole with body near by and Beebe thought she would inform authorities and had to prevent that.

It could be something else too since this is just speculating like everyone else is doing.

look at photo 12...doesn't his hand look a little too close to her arse? Creepy.

wow....we don't have any close friends who would have their hand placed on me like that!!

I don't know whether they "had" to, or whether it just happened to be them who called. This is from thread 1:

It would explain confessing to only one murder.

it also explains some weird comments made yesterday when they found only Amy on a local newsite and a local commenting re who the problem was in Amy's and her hubbys marriage AND the photos.

I am going more along this line at the moment, but am still not totally convinced. Just reading between the lines.

It's the only theory my husband and I could come up with after hearing he only confessed to the one too. JMO

My theory is that he was a meth user. Or steroids or even both. I think he snapped. He had a history of anger issues and aggressive behavior.

I don't think he was on steroids...but I would think meth!

Someone asked earlier about not hearing (or noticing) the gunshots. This is rural Michigan. Currently I live in a semi-rural part of MI, but I grew up in a small town just like this. Target practice is common here because there are lots of hunters (don't know all the "seasons" but there are MANY here in Michigan --you may even be able to hunt right now), and homes are typically further apart. I hear gunshots occasionally near my home --you can't really tell where they're coming from or what they are - sound travels far in rural areas since a lot of MI is very flat- but trust me it doesn't seem all that odd here. I can completely understand why no one would call the police over a couple of shotgun blasts --especially if they didn't hear any screaming or yelling.

The same here! gunshots are always be heard!

I had that thought also. In one news article a neighbor was quoted as saying there were people in and out of JB & TH's house and alot of goings on in the night makes me think meth may be involved. Are there any locals on here who knows or has heard if he has a meth problem. From his pics it looks to me like he thinks he is quite the stud and probably a huge flirt. Maybe he liked Amy and she wouldn't have any thing to do with him and he didn't like to be rebuffed. What a tragedy for all the children involved. Those little boys lives are changed forever because of one person and their evil actions.

At a news conference, authorities confirmed both women had died of multiple gunshot wounds. Investigators believe both died at the same time sometime Monday morning.

Geez - multiple gunshot wounds?? Where they target practice?

Did he stop to re-load? A shot gun holds two shells right? God bless those poor women.

Been thinking all day long on this. I'm just as confused with everyone here. But what I don't understand....Junior had many issues. Known to everyone, best I can tell. Those issues I personally would not want my family to be around. On a personal note, I got them too. I steered clear of him.... But why did James and Amy not steer clear of Junior ??? They are out drinking, beer, Pepsi, Junior's on a laptop in the corner of some room...and what really bothers me, looks like a young son was with them...I love my family, I do, but there are some I just choose not to associate with....I do believe in trying to see the best in everyone...but...Still doesn't answer the question of why!
