ROYAL OAK, Mich. (WILX) - Police are searching for a 31-year-old man who was reported missing from Royal Oak.

Anthony Michael VanHess was last seen on Dec. 26 at 5:30 p.m. and was reported missing from 21004 Reimainville, Royal Oak.

He is 5′10″, 138 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a green jacket, blue scrub pants, and red and black puma shoes. VanHess has cognitive impairment and has diagnosed Schizophrenia.

I managed a coffee shop in downtown Pontiac for a while and Tony was a regular of mine. He was usually unhoused. He has such a great heart and I hope someone finds him safe.

Glad to say he was located - I think the problem is that one article had his last name as "VanHess" and another as "VanHees" (BBM) But he's safe yay!

"A 31-year-old man reported missing from Royal Oak Township has been located and is safe, according to the Michigan State Police.

Anthony Michael Vanhees was reported missing from the 21000 block of Reimanville in Royal Oak Township on Monday afternoon, Dec. 26.

Police reported his safe recovery Wednesday morning."
