Anyone who was in the area in a similar type van, or know someone who has that type of van, or has information about the motorcycle is being asked to leave a tip at 877-616-4677 orMichigan.gov/michtip.

police would like to speak to this man - he has not been named a suspect but is simply a person who police would like to talk to. No word if he is associated with the work/box van or the motorcycle (dirtbike?) seen in the area.

According to one of the news reports on channel 7(abc), the body was located about a mile from depot and fulton, near liberty street in a wooded area just off the path. I can't find a liberty street but I did find a liberty lane, which is east of fulton street.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JjPxnOomB2g video of the vigil. very sad for the teens i this town. Always scary when one of your own is killed. Makes you ponder your own mortality. Something teens are not familiar or necessarily comfortable with.

I cannot get my map to come up with marker but if you continue down the trail to the west of fulton where the depot rd ends, there is a welding company and behind that is where things get wooded. That is where I suspect her body was found. Off to try to find Liberty and see where that is in relation.

I am thinking Liberty Lane area offers lots of wooded area too, thank you gam

Small local newspaper, hope I did this right, I have never put information from a news source and I know it's suppose to be in a specific way, so sorry if it wrong.

Smith also said there are two possible missing persons that they are investigating, and they are working to determine if this woman could be one of them. The first missing person is a woman from Washington Township and the second is a missing girl from Armada Township. “We are investigating every possible lead we can right now.

So according to this there was/possibly still is a missing Washington Township woman, back to digging.

I kind of feel this is a hit and run... maybe she saw the van on the trail and texted her boyfriend because she thought it odd, I wonder how far from the trail to the ditch where her body was found is..

I am thinking it is more than a hit and run due to all the 3 different agencies involved including the FBI. The family says it looks like her face was beaten...a hit an run could look like a beating but with so much LE I think it's something else.

How far from April's house is the ditch where she was found? I believe upthread there was a reference to her mom saying April usually walked the dog for about 1/2 an hour each evening. Is the area where she was found along her usual walking route, or further away?

First I've heard about a motorcycle. Interesting.

I think FBI involvement came in when a minor child was reported missing and her last communication indicated possible abduction. The FBI would have the resources to act quickly in such a circumstance.

Reports from family indicate she was beaten or assaulted. This could be so or she could have been struck by a moving vehicle getting injuries.

I wish we knew if she had a normal route and if her body was found within it or some distance down the trail from where she usually took the dog for its walk. Was she killed near where she was found or was she wrestled into a vehicle and then dumped further down the trail?

I wish I knew her start point and where she normally travelled on the trail.

The other disturbing clue is that when April went to walk her dog "Penny," she sent a text message to her boyfriend, saying 'I think I'm about to be abducted.'

Levans says after April sent that text, her mom and her boyfriend were out in their cars looking for her

I wonder the exact wording and time of that text and how long after that text did they start to look for her.

Looks like LE officers on ATVs with Channel 4 (WDIV) cameraman in foreground filming them.

yes, not sure if it was taken after remains were found in that area or before, during searching for a possible live missing girl.

MSM talked about the motorcycle yesterday... see post # 17 of this thread.

But if it were a hit and run, wouldn't Penny (the dog) have been hit too. Was the dog walked on a leash?

If this sketch is anywhere close to accurate and he is a local, he should be ID'd fairly quickly. If he is not a local.....
