Detroit — The assistant marching band director at Troy Athens High School was charged Tuesday with child possession.

Eric Junod, 38, will be arraigned at 1 p.m. Tuesday in federal court. A part-time assistant marching band director since 2006, Junod was fired Monday after school officials learned about the criminal case, school district spokeswoman Kerry Birmingham said.

“Police have told us that there is no indication any Troy School District students were involved in any way,” Birmingham said.

Junod’s profile on the school district band page says he taught symphonic band and marching band at Troy Athens for the last 15 years...
