Doesn't seem like there are any pictures of the parents out there... That seems strange considering that's who we should also be looking for. I think I found DD's FB profile, but can't confirm. If it is, lots of anti-government posts. JMO. Will keep looking for more news.

ETA correct spelling/grammar.

It’s good to have pictures of the children, but we really need pictures of the parents. Poor kids.

BCPD continues search for missing siblings
[...]

Battle Creek Police officers have been trying to track down 7-year-old Bentley Dunkelberger and 9-year-old Karley Dunkelberger after being contacted by Children’s Protective Services, according to Sgt. Chad Fickle.

“This all started to come about late last week,” Fickle said. “There were some concerns because the children hadn’t been in school, and we had attempted a couple of welfare checks at the residence with no luck.”

[...]

“No one involved in the investigation has seen the children since the ninth and appointments with Health and Human Services that were scheduled after that were canceled by the family,” Fickle said.

[...]

“Drug use, some mental health issues within the family, nothing to indicate there’s been previous abuse towards the children,” Fickle said. “But the fact that the family is unable or unwilling to follow the simple instructions that were laid out to maintain their family is concerning.”

Court documents show there is a pending child neglect case concerning the two children.

[...]

“Everybody sees the news, and these usually end one of two ways,” Fickle said. “They’re either found fine and it’s blown way out of proportion or it’s catastrophically different.”

Rebecca talks about her kids on facebook, seems like she misses them. I hope she gets some help (and is willing to take meds), straightens her life out and puts it back in order. Until she accomplishes that, she can't be a Mom. Mental health & addiction issues are tough roads to travel in tandem :(

Praying the kids are found safe.

I’m hoping for the kids sake that the parents just couldn’t handle the rules set forth, and are on the run :/

I refuse to think of any other alternative ...

CBI and CSP searching for missing siblings out of Michigan
[...]

Police said Karley and Bentley Dunkelberger are potentially in the company of their parents, Rebecca and Dennis Dunkelberger. They were last seen in Battle Creek, Michigan but law enforcement has reason to believe the parties may be in Colorado. Rebecca and Dustin have a history of drug use and violent tendencies when together and Rebecca suffers from a cognitive disorder.

Family sends message for missing Battle Creek parents, kids
Tom Dunkelberger assumes his nephew Dennis, Dennis’s wife Rebecca and their children, 9-year-old Karley Marie and 7-year-old Bentley have left the state.

[...]

“We love him. And we want to see him back with his family, together,” Dunkelberger said. “If they simply come forward and let both the court know and Child Protective Services know that everybody is OK, the rest of the stuff, we can work on.”

[...]

The kids haven’t been in school and the parents canceled appointments with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, likely related to a pending neglect case involving the children.

[...]

“He is not a harm to his family. He’s trying to save his family in the only way that he knows,” Tom Dunkelberger said. “I honestly believe that he is running in fear for his family and trying to keep them together (and) not allow them to be split up.”

[...]

“I wish we had some way of letting him know that we may have been absent prior to this, but we’re not going to be absent now, if he would just come back,” Tom said.
