Really expensive, and obviously, neither her mother nor father has fertility issues due to the fact that they both have other kids. Doesn't really seem plausible.

Yes, I was kind of half joking, but just trying to think outside the box. How could she have gotten pregnant by him?

I wonder what her occupations is? Does she perhaps work in the prison as a nurse or a teacher?

I think that his 2009 jail release was just one of several, and that he is no stranger to jail cells. At least when he is in jail he isn't creating another child. According to his bragging, he already has fathered seven children. Such a role model, and what's wrong with the women he plays around with?
I hope LE has done prints on the steering wheel of that car. If there were no prints recovered, if it was wiped clean when he abondoned it that wouldn't be surprising either.

The increase in cases on disappearing children are appearing in media news stories almost daily. A happy ending is rare.

I'm trying not to jump the gun here. But if he isn't the father and has been feeling pressure to financially support a child that isn't his.....well, this changes everything.

Maybe lynnb is on to something. This is not meant to insinuate anything, since I don't know her mother's financial situation, but generally speaking, it's very hard to get on state assistance in MI, if you are trying to collect for children, and refuse to name their father. And he has been a close friend of the family for 15 years. Maybe someone asked him to help out and he did, not realizing all the money that he would have to pay for signing that piece of paper. And, if he signed what they call an affadavit of parentage when she was born, that means that he legally waived his right to ask the state of MI to pay for a paternity test if he denies he is her father. Those are expensive too.

I'm just thinking out loud. I don't even know if he was paying child support, or if he was ordered to, or if her mother is on assistance, or if he is legitimately her father, and somebody has a date wrong.

Discharge date was July 31, 2009. That's not necessarily his release date from prison. He could've been released earlier to parole.

well, if there's any LE reading here...please check into the dad's where abouts in Feb/March of 2009 and verify you are actually dealing with this little girls father.
