My theory this many hours later. If this car was really carjacked the child would have been found hours ago. From memory when a car is found the child is found not too long after.

My theory, and I hate to say it, but I wonder if dad and step mom didn't like how Bianca played with her 2 yr old half sibling. Many of us remember how two two year olds play next to each other. They don't really play together. They get fussy over who gets what toy with one seemingly only interested in what the other one has.

I hate to say it but I think we're going to learn this was originally supposed to be a much shorter visit. Something happened and dad and step mom had to keep delaying returning Bianca to her mom. Which would explain why she needed more clothes. When mom finally said enough is enough, I want her home TODAY, or tomorrow if she made this demand last night, they had to come up with something quickly, hence the 'car jacking'.

Someone posted upthread how common it is for carjackers to ram the rear of a vehicle. Come on, we've known that for well over a decade. I might think an elderly person might fall to that kind of 'scam', but not a young man in his 30's. Nope, this was a quick ploy they concocted when they couldn't return Bianca to her mommy.

:( I hope I'm wrong........

I agree with your theory. Bianca was big/tall for her age and spoke well. She may have taken something from the smaller (?) child and the father went beserk.

However, Bianca's mother and uncle said they talked to her the night before she was reported missing. They didn't say what time, so it had to have happened after that. I imagine the woman is being questioned, too. jmo

That's interesting to know. I certainly believe both of them - so Bianca was alive, and I guess the plan was to meet up with the mom the next day either for more clothes, or to return her.

Somebody posted an interesting theory upthread. They suggested that a 2 yr old might sound just like another 2 yr old on the phone at night. And perhaps it was the half sister that the mom and uncle spoke to on the phone.

So Bianca had spent several nights at the house, then why was her father taking her over to her mother's house to get clothes because she was going to stay with him for the next week?? :waitasec: Why couldn't her clothes be washed? Something happened to this baby while she was staying with her father's house, IMO. :maddening:

I'm not caught up yet, but I wanted to say something on this. My ex used to get his daughter from her mother about once a month. WE never had her for the length of time that they would agree on. Either her mother would call and want to leave her with us another couple days, or a week, or sometimes we just couldn't get hold of her at all when it was time to take the little one home.

We would often have to go get clothes after having her for several days, because what she would send with her was A) not weather appropriate B) in such bad shape it wouldn't survive the washer and dryer C) only one change of clothes for the better part of a week and I didn't want her running around naked while her clothes were in the wash.

OMG, I must have missed that post. If you recall there was a video posted here in which Bianca's mother and uncle were talking about the call they had with Bianca. The were saying how smart she is and how she knew so many words, etc., but when the reporter asked them what she had said to them on the phone, they shrugged and said, she just talked...words... she just talked." Now I wonder if it was the other child speaking.

I thought that the father may have been abusing Bianca and didn't want to take her home until her bruises were gone, but then he kept disciplining her (or whtever) and it went too far. Too many injuries to hide.

I feel for Bianca's family they seem like a very nice family and loved her and cared for her. So very sad.

Now I'm caught up. I have a few questions.

1.) If this was just the time that the father was getting to know Bianca, how many times had he seen her supervised before? Or did Mom just shove her off to her father that she didn't know for the beter part of a week?

2.) Could it be that the father is covering for his girlfriend, instead of the other way around? Maybe Bianca did something to her daughter, like 2 year old do, and she snapped, I can't believe that while Bianca was there for a week, her father was with her every second, especially if his other daughter was at home with her mother. He would have left Bianca there, too, one would assume.

3.) What is the relationship, really, between these families? We have the uncle (I think) that said that the father is like family to Bianca's mother and the rest of the family, but then we have the report that he was just getting to know Bianca. Both of those can't be true, unless the mother's side of the family are some very trusting folks.

Is it me or does it seem like more and more parents are claiming their child has been kidnapped then before? It's like they saw one ridiculous story get someone off so they are going to try it, too.

Yep, it's the Casey Anthony case snowball effect, imo. I'm afraid we'll see more and more until another high profile case gets solved and the parent making up such absurd stories has the book thrown at them.

I would think Mom would know if she was talking to another child.

http://www.wxyz.com/dpp/news/region...ld-makes-a-desperate-plea-for-her-safe-return

In video posted here it says dad was in jail when Bianca was born and he is just getting to know the little girl.....that is why she spent the week at his house

Ethan Stacy...

Shaniya Davis...

If they don't know your baby, don't give them your baby...
(or if they don't know the baby, judge's please don't let them take the baby)

So we have the Shaniya/Ethan "getting to know her" situation.

We have the very typical "time to return the child, how do I explain her absence" situation.

We have the big bad evil looking carjacker who stole the car in the middle of the day with the child in it.

I don't think he could have made his story stink anymore if he had tried. Doesn't mean he's guilty of course. :twocents:

I think I read somewhere that the family had known him since middle school. So since Bianca is only 2, that's a very short recent time frame, but they've known him since he was a young teen.

So someone went to the trouble to carjack the car and drove it 3 blocks? The only reason I can think of, if they did that, would be because of the child-but they would have left her in the car.

Exactly! Can't find the MSM article at the moment, but the carjacker also conveniently stole the car within walking distance from Biomoms home, so dad could just conveniently walk to her house with an explanation as to why he couldn't return the child and they could call the police together. :furious:

SO, how could he have just been getting to know her? Every report that comes out makes this harder to understand.

What if some of the dad's story is true?

What if in fact, she was carjacked by someone he doesn't know?

LE seems to be at least entertaining that, and using resources in that direction, and leading the public to believe that may well be what happened by creating and distributing the composite sketch this morning.

I don't know what he was doing there in that part of town, and with whom, but I'd lean toward something he's lying about. Drug deals, weapons deal, I don't know. But the part about being carjacked by an unknown man could very well still be true.

IMHO, based on LE seeming to at least believe it enough to pursue it.

One big part of the puzzle? Who would leave a car running?

He's been in jail most of her life, from what I could gather.

When asked if Lane is a possible suspect, Godbee said, "Everybody is a person of interest."

From The Detroit News: http://detnews.com/article/20111203...ice-continue-search-for-toddler#ixzz1fV2rYO7O

Seems even LE is being sort of wishy washy in their statements. Not slamming, I know they kind of have to be, so that no one shuts down and stops talking, but still.

Also from that article - Jones said she had not been in contact with Lane. Instead she learned her baby was missing from a relative who told her that Lane came to their home on the 250 block of Custer Friday morning, breathless and in tears to say that his car was stolen and Bianca was gone.

So there goes the theory of him happening to be carjacked close enough to walk to her home. He didn't talk to her, and he wasn't the one that notified her. (IMO, that also reeks.)

Well, they are believing him enough to create the composite and go searching door to door to door in that little area.
