The more I read about this doe, the sadder I feel. Nobody should have to live like that. Such a short, painful life. I hope she had moments of happiness in her darkness.

This UID was found near Grand Rapids, MI which is in western MI. Hudsonville could be 2 hours or more from Detroit.

If she's from the area the likely cities are Grand Rapis, Holland, & Muskegon.

It is a DDP case now with a status "at lab for extraction". The DDP has a lot of cases from Michigan.

Now in bioinformatics.

Has passed already to an active research

I think they did a new kit? Or maybe haven't updated their list of each case's status.

Her story reminds me of Girl from the Main (Germany) as both suffered from long-term abuse.

Sometimes it takes a few weeks before a case is added to the spreadsheet. Let’s hope she will be added this Tuesday, as there is a spreadsheet update expected on Tuesday, the 15th

Found some early articles. They thought she could've been as young as 13, at first. Seems she was raped too, according to one report :(

Fly high, "Jenny". You'll have your name back soon <3

There was a young black girl that disappeared many years before Jenny was found dead.
Adele Marie Wells, was in 1958 presumed kidnapped from Flint, Michigan, by a non family member.
At the time she was 7, in 1967 she would me around 15-16?

A stretch I realize.

I wonder where the scars are from. My first thoughts were either self harm or abuse. They’re strange places though, for both self harm and abuse. Then again, there aren’t many places I haven’t seen people self harm. Thoughts?

Speaking as a person who has self-harmed and who knows a lot of self-harmers - people can, and do, self-harm pretty much anywhere. It's a lot more common on the arms, stomach, hips, and legs, though. If she was self-harming, you'd expect the scars to be in concentrated clusters, rather than it just being a one here, one there type of thing. For what it's worth, I've only ever known one person to self-harm on their neck, where our Doe had multiple scars. The neck is generally a no-go area because it's very visible to others, and the same goes for the face (Doe also had a scar on her jaw). I'm not saying self-harm is impossible, but based on what I know, I'm strongly leaning towards those scars being a result of something else (i.e. abuse).

I self harmed too, and I agree, but I do wonder what else could have caused these scars. I cant think of any abuse that would result in scars like this. The places seem super random.

Most scars are from getting hurt accidentally. I don't understand why the immediate jump to self harm or abuse.

Given how she died, along with her long-term health issues and the obvious signs of neglect/poverty, I'd say it's not too outlandish to think she might've been abused. She had a lot of scars all over her body - much more than I'd expect from mere clumsiness. Not saying they weren't accidental, but given all the other evidence, one wonders.

Good news - 'Jenny' Doe has a great highest match on the DDP Spreadsheet!
