GUILTY MI - Bobbie Maples, 32, Muskegon, 15 Dec 2014

I don't know if LE is doing anything, but Bobbie's mom is definitely still looking for her. Here is the Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/HelpFindBobbieMaples

Doesn't seem to be much progress, however, apparently someone told Bobbie's mom that they saw Bobbie leave the hospital after visiting her daughter and get in a van with 2 men (this was the last time anyone saw her). Her mom contacted the hospital to see if they had this on one of their cameras in the parking lot, but she was told that only LE can request to view footage.

I am really hoping she just had a relapse ( considering the alternative ) Not sure if she would be more prone to postpartum depression or not? Or maybe more likely to self medicate? Hopefully this is the case, and she shakes it back off and gets back to her baby!

I have read she was taking suboxen, probably wrong spelling there, and that it was doctor prescribed. The baby stayed for observation due to having it in her system. Also read she was a stripper at a local bar called Murphy's.
Only a quack would prescribe suboxone to a woman in the last trimester of pregnancy unless they thought there were life-threatening conditions on going. And she would have been hospitalized prior to the birth. In East Tennessee, women are arrested and DFCS takes custody of babies born with a positive illegal substance in their system at birth. A prescribed drug would be different, if it was obtained legally.

It was prescribed for withdrawal from heroin. Bobbie obviously told her doctor she had a problem. The baby would of been worse off if she used or withdrew during pregnancy.

No, that's just not true. It's definitely not unheard of. Suboxone is 1000x safer than heroin during pregnancy. The hospital will keep the baby, even when it is prescribed legally, because the baby will still go through withdrawals so they still need to monitor. Also, heroin addiction can be considered "life-threatening".

I'm just hoping that the doctor didn't stop her prescription after the birth. That would cause Bobbie to go into serious withdrawals. Its entirely possible that she used heroin thinking that it would be safe to use the same amount that she used to and overdose. I certainly hope the doctor let her keep taking the suboxone.

Oh my goodness, I hope so too! If not, she would be very sick within a day. Fwiw, I was prescribed suboxone for two years. The entire second year was spent slowly tapering down to ease withdrawals from it because cold turkey is so hard.

I think it's so sad that if a person who has a drug addiction history goes missing, people assume they want to be missing or that they somehow don't count because of their lifestyle. Sometimes that is the case but I think LE should take every case equally serious. Same thing when sometimes they don't take missing kids who have history of running away as seriously.

I'm glad to see her mother so actively searching. Hoping forsome goodnews for them!

:bump::bump::bump:

According to the Find Bobbie fb page, the police are FINALLY going to ask the media for help. It's about dang time! I feel terrible for Bobbie's poor om. She is searching desperately for her daughter. She wants the world to know & the media & LE are taking their sweet time.

Also, per the fb page, her timeline seems to have changed a bit. She was last seen at the hospital on Tuesday.

Let's find Bobbie!!

Just read about this case. Only now the police are going to speak to the media? This should have been done 48 hours after she went missing. Why leave it so long?! Her mum said on the FB page that she was last seen getting in to a tanned mini van with a sliding door with two men, both appeared to be old & the driver had a long grey beard & that was the last time she was seen. Her house was also ransacked once her mum arrived & two tvs were gone. Doesn't sound good but I hope I am wrong & she comes home safely & soon! No matter what her past was like, whether she made bad choices or if she was a drug user or not, she's still somebody's daughter, sister & mum & deserves to be found.

Police seeking information on missing Roosevelt Park woman
16916628-small.jpg

MUSKEGON COUNTY, MI -- Authorities are seeking information about the whereabouts of a Roosevelt Park woman who hasn't been seen since Dec. 17 - shortly after the birth of her child.

In a press release issued by the Roosevelt Park Police Department, Chief David Boone said family members of Bobbie Maples, 32, reported that they hadn't seen or heard from her since Dec. 15, 2014.

Boone said that Maples had just given birth to a child in early December.

In the press release, the chief stopped short of calling the case a criminal investigation, as there is no concrete evidence that points to "foul play or (a) criminal act."

RS was interviewed here:

Robert Smith was also one of the last people to talk to Bobbie Maples. He wouldn’t go on camera with us, but we spoke with him by phone about his last interaction with the 32-year-old.

“She was going to go up the hospital to see her daughter and then she was going to have a friend pick her up, go to the store, get some groceries and go back and make some lunch and go back to the hospital after that when he went to work,” Smith said. “I should have her from her several times every day.”

Bumping for Bobbie. I check her fb page that her mom made for her every time I get on fb. As an recovering heroin addict & a mother, my heart breaks for Bobbie's mom. Somebody somewheres knows something. Some people are just scumbags with or without drugs. Whoever knows of her whereabouts & is keeping it a secret, it's not the drugs keeping them silent, they are just that crappy of a person.

I hope that makes sense. Sometimes people don't need drugs to be just plain ol' evil.

Has anyone looked into the body found in March of 2015 in Detroit? The height and hair color are correct, but the body had breast implants. Does anyone know if Bobbie had implants?

Link

It looks like dental info and DNA aren't uploaded yet.

If she used smack during the pregnancy, that baby has enough troubles as it is.

Suboxone is a high frequency drug of abuse at least in East Tennessee. Do we know if she was really receiving on going medical care for addiction? She could have been working on Backpage.com for drugs or drug money. Pray for the baby and Bobbie.
