Went missing after seen leaving a restaurant. Left all his possessions and never seen again.

I'm almost certain he's this Doe:

Notice the decedent was wearing a Central Michigan Chipawas shirt, coins matching to 1986, strong composite resemblance, matching height and age estimate.

Decedent was found skeletal in Baldwin Florida off an exit ramp in 1996. This is as close to a perfect namus match I think I could ever get.

I submitted it to authorities.

Wrong hair colour
Not necessarilly:

Oxidation: Eumelanin and pheomelanin are the two melanin pigments that determine hair color. Over time, eumelanin (the pigment responsible for yellow-brown-black colors) oxidizes, leaving behind more stable pheomelanin (the pigment responsible for red tones). This can cause the hair, including blond hair, to take on a reddish-brown hue.

The Luce County Doe was said to have reddish brown hair which apparently it can be common for blonde people.. especially dirty blonds like Stephens it will indeed degrade into reddish brown. Admittedly I'm not an expert I don't know how long that process takes but I'm simply saying hold on.

Luce County John Doe was my top suspected Doe as well and the only issue I had was hair color but that's when I remembered a different case referencing how hair color can changes post mortem sometimes significantly. It seems those exposed to the elements change the most.

It makes sense it could be him because Luce county Doe was dressed for hunting and stephens simply disappeared and left all his possessions behind after leaving a diner if I remember correctly. If he got picked up to hunting then left out there it would make a ton of sense and people in his area were big on hunting.

I wonder though if he had the metal rod in his leg if that can be verified or not.

I also want to point out Stephens had a scar from ear to ear going under the jaw. They did find a scar on Luce County John Does left cheek. He was decomposed maybe this is all of it that was left or visible? I'd be interested in a dna test for this one. Its a shot.
