I am convinced Bobby Glen Stephens is Luce County John Doe 1987.

The only thing that didnt match was hair color but then I got to thinking how hair color could change after death... So we know Bobby was blond but Luce county Doe was reddish brown. So I did some research into blond hair post mortem and found this:
  • Oxidation: Eumelanin and pheomelanin are the two melanin pigments that determine hair color. Over time, eumelanin (the pigment responsible for yellow-brown-black colors) oxidizes, leaving behind more stable pheomelanin (the pigment responsible for red tones). This can cause the hair, including blond hair, to take on a reddish-brown hue.
(ALSO noting here his hair was said to be strawberry blond).

Aha! Now it matches nicely. Luce County John Doe was killed in 1987 in the woods while it appeared from the way he was dressed he was out hunting. Stephens disappeared after leaving a diner. His possessions were all found at home. I believe he got picked up to go hunting and was killed as a plan or perhaps an argument or 3rd maybe even an accident. No weapon was found with the body so it is more indicative of a murder/argument where the other person took the gun.

For the last year since I bookmarked Bobby Stephens whenever I go to type in namus it automatically filled in his missing persons namus link. So its become constantly on my mind. Anyway, what do you guys think?
