One of the reporters said someone is supposed to come give a statement shortly. They are set up in a parking lot near where the body was found.

Media was awful quick to announce that the body was that of Brenna. I wonder if LE even had a change to notify all family members. Nothing must be worst then seeing on the news your loved one has been found murdered.

During his prep for the upcoming presser, the Channel 4 reporter said that police were at the crime scene "early this morning". Family members were likely notified in advance of the media receiving the information. :moo:

I can only hope so.

The body was supposedly found by some golf course workers from what I read. I would imagine they start mowing and what ever else they do at dawn.

One of the reporters asked about a black male in the back of a squad car and the chief didn't want to go into that.

Hopefully they have him.

I'm surprised they had a presser so quickly. She was only found an hour and a half ago! I'm glad though. The public has a right to know.

When I first looked at the Find Brenna Machus Facebook this morning, there was already an acknowledgment of sadness for (your) loss. That was about an hour ago. Family must have been notified and let the site administrators know.

Well I'm sure it hasn't been verified with DNA but it sounds like it's her based on the clothes she was wearing. Police wouldn't be saying it was her if they weren't sure.

I'd kindof assumed that she likely had on the employee name tag from work, still.

It is when the heat index is over 100

I am looking forward to the end of this extreme heat wave. I can barely spend a few minutes outdoors to water my flowers without feeling like I can't breathe I have to venture out for a while today for a few errands that I've put off this week. I will spend as little time out of a/c as possible.

About 1 minute ago her brother and the missing page posted the same thing on FB it is visible to the public so here is a quote.

"Despite what media coverage is saying the body that was found HAS NOT OFFICIALLY BEEN IDENTIFIED. Not by family members or medically(dental, finger prints,blood or autopsy) we have no confirmation that body belongs to Brenna. Please pray for whomever it may be. But keep high hopes for Brenna. Thank you all for your support."
