LordanArts made a video about Cassandra. He found an article that names the boyfriend as Eric Buikema.

It looks like it could be. There's a Facebook profile that matches the mugshot photo - while it says that he is from Michigan, it also says that he attended American University law school in Washington DC.

Which perhaps helps explain how Cassandra who lived in Baltimore could have met and began dating EB from Michigan.

Based on the Detroit News article that named him, it also lines up with him. The article says that the boyfriend had family in the Detroit area that he was going to visit in addition to his grandparents in Roscommon. This person in the Offender Tracking System and Facebook profile is from Oakland County.

Unfortunately, it looks like he'll be released from prison in 3 days for the criminal sexual conduct conviction for the 2018 offense.
