GUILTY MI - Christopher Regan, 53, Iron River, 14 Oct 2014

Will be at trial starting tomorrow in Crystal Falls. Hoping they can seat a jury there & not have to change venue.

I read there would not be a change of venue. I'll find the article.

There won't be one as of tomorrow, but if the judge feels they can't seat a fair jury, it could still happen. Fingers crossed that it goes forward where it is.

I'll post the website for my podcast sometime this coming week - the small part of the story I know (from a friend who is testifying) is even more mindboggling than what has been reported, and I'm sure what will be said in the trial is even more crazy than I know.

It sounds interesting. I'll check in here. I can't go to the trial at this time.

the link I posted has many links within it. It does get stranger. I recall reading Jason wrote a fictional letter.

Interesting...if you find where you read that, can you let me know? (And which "he" did you mean? I'll look too.

This case is so interesting. I've been waiting forever for today's testimony from the defendant to download.

Let me tell you, it's been fascinating in court as well. Since the defendant is testifying, and since she keeps talking about how her husband was so awful and she felt like she couldn't do anything, she's possibly opened up the door to having to talk about killing him (which has been forbidden so far). The judge will take the weekend to decide. I knew a ton about this case going in but it's still surprised me almost every day. I love that they livestreamed it and posted it to YouTube as I don't have to get transcripts to see what has been said (except for the video of interviews -- the audio on most of them was awful even in court). I'm glad you're watching.

I bet it's filling in the blanks for you. Early on, when I heard she killed her husband, I wondered if she did it so she could put all the blame on him.. I hope the prosecutor gets her. Do you think she will be extradited or does it depend whether they get a conviction?

Was she trying to get one of her boyfriends to kill her husband? She seems like she is manipulative enough. I noticed during her testimony she was breathing heavily which leads me to believe she was lying. I tend to believe her first statement, that she lured him there. After listening to her testimony, I feel she'll be found guilty on all counts.

I'm not sure but I'm hoping to ask after verdict!

The prosecutor did an excellent job. Not sure why defense put Cochran on the stand. Might have been better to find some expert witnesses who could defend her on a abused wife kind of defense. "that was a lie" "that was a partial lie" surely did not bode well in the juries mind.

Also, why is her Facebook page still open. You'd think defense would have closed it.
